@halonone Don't have an emulator. And Yes it did take almost 8 hours to do it. But, it is worth doing. Grinding is a good thing. Gives you both money, and experience that gives you levels. Makes the Boss battles much easier.
1. Put him in a back row. His bow will still do the same damage.
2. If Bo is getting a lot of damage compared to the others, he is equipping a helmet that doubles the damage you get. It's not his defense or the shield.
I was like...I think 10 and every time I'd get to this boss i'd just quit cause i couldn't defeat him. I never realized the whole level thing. I think I played through the game before this part like a dozen times before I finnally beat this guy.
I was so happy I jumped up and hit my head on my brothers bunk...

Lol this is the first fight that a boss had inhuman amounts of HP. All other fights were easier because of the dragon powers that you gained right after this.
Im trying to get every character to level 99 right now, so far Ryu is level 99 with 832HP and 580AP, and Bleu is level 99 with 660HP and 965AP, and only one next closest is Nina, and shes level 85 with 509HP and 606AP
That's so funny. I actually forgot that the bad guy in this was named Jade, and I named my hero character Jade. Good thing he doesn't say much in the game.

dude, this game is the best rpg for the snes and the easiest. jade and the goddess bitch are so easy to defeat. all you have to do is, get the last dragon where they all transform into which hits 999 automatic
Well, this clip is from the GBA version, which in my opinion I saw as being just a teeny bit easier than the SNES one... but maybe this is just a false observation I saw.
Anyways, this particular boss battle gave me headaches back in the day on the SNES. Then one day I *finally* managed to beat this sucker.
I hated this battle since the SNES version. Also why does the sound and video not match up near the middle? I'm gonna also guess that this is your first time playing as you used Zom1 when it was useless. Another thing to know is that Nina's Fort spell raises defense. A useful spell in this fight.
I just started playing this game on an emulator, and damn I'm scared getting to that gremlin part.

You made a big booboo here. You should have built you party up some more. Ryo should have been at least level 17.

Or just go north to the shore with the Crabs. They give you like 1400 exp a piece and you can fight multiple of them at a time.

Most people make a same mistake in Bo/Giriam
