I had the opportunity to meet Tom In Harvard Square in 1974...We went to Barney's and sucked up a few beers and discussed the state of the world at the time...Nothing was ever decided other than I should pay for the beers
@weissang: the comment you made about TW being awesome at 25 shows your wisdom. the comment, "25 year olds (or less) nowadays put out this bubble-gum, electronica, vomit infused bullshit." shows your old age and lack of openness to other genres outside of your comfort zone.
great album. snapped this one off the record shelves soon as it came out. played it so many times i wore out the needle. closing time and heart of sat nite are great too.
@guyglowmore1 An old HS friend(1977ish) had a brother that played the Beatles Sergeant Peppers album SO MUCH, that the vocals disappeared. Heard it for myself or I wouldn't have believed it... WILD!!!!!!!!
But most of everything in the world I love his laughter "her her her" throughout the whole evening. It makes me smile and enjoy time&life in the worst of moments
@opredeleno Actually, this wasn't a show, but recorded in a studio with 30 or so of Tom's peeps as the audience. Rehearsed for 4-5 days... recorded in two. Simply brilliant!!!!!!

That's the great Pete Christlieb on sax. He'd go on to play on Steely Dan's 'Deacon Blues' off the Aja album.
Any comments on the fact the Tom was only 25 when he did this album?? Still blows me away....

I've been listening to the album since 1977. Turned a few folks on to it. A MUST HAVE in any collection.

One of the best shows out there. I have no idea what could be a better start to this epic concert.
I love how someone screams "Awww" at 1:21

@opredeleno It was not a concert, the record process was accompanied by an audience
