I watch Obama and McCain rallies on TV and I really want to know what does it feel like to attend a rally. The Obama rallies look like people are having fun and laughing. The McCain rallies look like people are miserable and defeated. Was the rally REALLY as hyped as it looks like on TV??

Yes, I was there with my sister and 2 children. We stood for an hour in line and four hours right up front on the floor to hear him speak. It was everything it appeared to be. It was fun and exciting. Lots of cooperation between people who were tired. The overall sense was one of optimism.

I was at the rally today (brought my three year old along too!) We got there about 6:30 in the morning, waited until 7:30 or so to get in, then headed inside. The energy was great and people were dancing and singing. It was really a beautiful thing.
