I don't think you're being melo-dramatic at all. I'm turning 23 in October and I'm slightly freaked about *that*! Mostly because I was actually doing pretty well before (I had moved out on my own right when I turned 20) and then about 2 years later when I was right about to turn 22 events led me to have to move in with me mum and grandparents and need to get things pieced back together and on my feet again.
@DarlingDeadlyDexter Anyhow, you're extremely talented and I'm sure you'll land a good job before 30. I'd try to pursue editing/filming jobs on the side as well if I were you because you've a talent and humour for it, most definitely!

Here's a suggestion for what to do with your life: market your short film making and set yourself up as a new-media business in Bristol. There's enough of them around (new-media businesses in Bristol, that is).
