Right after 9/11 in Las Vegas cops and firefighters from around the country who were visiting draped hats and t shirts from their units on the iron fence surrounding the NYNY Casino. The hotel mounted glass cases to permanently display them. They're worn out from the sun but it's still a much better memorial than these asshats every came up with.

I have never been so disgusted or appalled by the actions highlighted in a Penn and Teller episode. Not even the videos of babies being cut up in the circumcision episode disgusted me on this level.

It's like they only care about getting their name and design attached to the rebuilding effort without any concern for how others feel.

It was a great episode. Oh and does anyone know the current plans for the site? This episode aired in 2006.

If the world trade center buildings were built in a matter of a few weeks, it would really be a big fuck you to the terrorists. Why didn't anyone think of that?

Although it's unrealistic to have two skyscrapers be rebuilt in a matter of weeks, it's still embarrassing that after 8+ years we haven't recovered from 9/11. The best thing we can do against terrorism is to simply ignore it, and get on with our lives. If the terrorists see that they have no effect on the morale on our country, then they will eventually give up, and we will win.

I say I agree with Penn and Teller, and just rebuild the trade centers already!

I knew it was an exaggeration to hope for a reconstruction in such a short matter of time. But if all that money had been put behind action, instead of just wasting it all on 'planning', I could honestly see it happen, atleast very fast.

Sad. Incredible that such a massive event for the country and even world yet nothing is there.

I was recently at the Oklahoma City memorial. Its amazing what they have done there. I was there at night too. Its a great way to remember and educate about the terrible bombing. Hopefully somebody steps up to make something as amazing at ground zero before the 10 year anniversary.
