I did a project a while back using the Geo web with a 1:1 ratio but we had to install 12" X 1" drainage pipes every 4' or so and then we poured concrete and had to push the concrete back up and into the Geo web with rakes as we went down the slope. Thank God we only had to do a 20' wall about 200' long. We were reinforcing the banks around 2 60" drain pipes that were blowing out the banks.
So when you said your putting 8 inches of material over the geo web is that 8 inches including the 6 inches if geo web or is that 8 inches above everything?
I would like to try it sometime, it has uses for soft roads as well, some pretty convincing vids on YT showing that you can use substantially less fill to build a bush road
I'm glad to see that during this reccesion and the most financially difficult times that the govt is threatening to stop sending social security checks that they find it nessisary to spend $100K on this project that is vital to the county's economic survival!!!! Why do I pay my taxes?
@copperheadmarine The same reason everyone pays taxes, so the IRS doesn't show up at your house with ten to fifteen heavily armed guys and rape you figuratively speaking.
The governments going to get its money come hell or high water.
@copperheadmarine they have more guns than you, idiot. why bitch about how your state spends money on enjoyable things like trails that cause more people to get out and spend their money just in order to play outside. if it's a bike trail your looking at the average person spending about $1000. Runners need shoes and clothing, more money spent. this spending is taxed and the 100k is just a drop in the bucket. Give a reason to the masses to spend money and they will.
@dirthog800 Remeber this when the Govt. defaults on it liabilities..Like your parents social security...I'm the idiot for living within my means and running my busines without beeing up to my eyeballs in debt...My equipment is bougt and paid for and no one can come get it..If our leaders lived by these rules our dollar wouldn't be in free fall...But..I have my opinion and you have yours..I'm saying we shouldn't be borrowing money from China and Mexico to operate the country.
this geoweb is used to make airfields in combat situations so it has been around since the late 70's/ early 80's. And yes it is very expensive but it is the item to use if you need to do it quickly
Who or what was this project for? It looks like a bike trail or something like that. I've never seen that geo-web stuff before. Seems cool. Good work!
Hey, we installed that stuff in Half Moon Bay, Ca. Its actually some cool shit to install
