2011 VW Passat

I have had a Passat, and a Jetta. I test drove the new Passat yesterday and I have to say I was very impressed. It's much roomier, has excellent power and handles beautifully. All in all I think they did a great job with the Passat this year.

I have owned multiple Passats and a Jetta, the 06-07 design of the Passat is the best so far. I have to agree this design is VERY UGLY in comparison to the 06 Passat, I may just have to pony up the dough for the new Phaeton.

I actually like this design. The previous Passat was nice however, this design seems more refined, much like a BMW or MB product. I would take a VW Passat over some of the cheesy Japanese and Korean cars any day.

It's disappointing that car makers spend a lot of energy coming up with new exterior colors. However, now days, interiors can only be had in one of three colors, black, grey, or beige. It seems like car makers are working hard at not making offensive interior colors rather than being creative.

Whatever happened to deep red, navy blue, fern green, coca brown, etc.?

Car makers have pretty well nailed it with their exterior pallets, now how about focusing on the interior pallets?

This is the exact same old passat. Just new tail lights and front grill and light. Everything else is exactly identical ... Even the interior is unchanged

@jack390 overall it does have an A6 look but the back is totally Skoda Superb,and the difference in the front from the previous model is not as pronounced as the difference between golf mk 5 and mk6

man wie hässlich. diese langweile front, die die jetzt an jeden vw dran klatschen sieht total bescheuert aus. der alte passat sah da ja um längen besser aus. das wird vw bei den verkaufszahlen schon noch merken. aber die werden das nur wieder auf die wirschaftliche lage schieben, anstatt zu zugeben das deren karren scheiße aussehen. hauptsache alle modele werden aus den gleichen teilen gebaut um den gewinn zu retten. jetzt sieht das ding aus wie ein minivan oder golf oder einfach wie der rest...

Besides a redesign of front end and a new tail light cluster, the car is identical to the current Passat. Oh and new wing mirrors! Hardly a new model!

Typical VW/Audi strategy......the previous A4 comes to mind!

it will be a very decent car since all the small niggles of the current one will be adressed but i can't help to think that design-wise it's a step backwards...

and why the fukkk did they made the back end corner look like a saab 9.3 from the side? when it was soo much more stylish...
