  • @soupdragonfly Thank you very much.

  • Really nice!! You have a great feel for it. Nicely paced and not rushed, as it should be. I used to play this and think I need to revisit it!! Thanks for the reminder and posting! Love your timing variations. Cheers, BB

  • @forbebe Thank you. I watched your version. Very nice! I liked the calmed pace and those nice touches you added. Regards.

  • Perfect.... good job!

  • @watson4913 Thanks!

  • A KIWI? AWESOME...

  • Get a tuner.

  • Get a new pair of ears!

No, no. I'm just kidding. Thanks for the comment. You're the first to say it. Please, be a little indulgent, it's a $100 guitar.

  • @danyluis

Nice kidding Dany. Nobody needs that kind of comment.

You did a great job, nice tune to play.

I'll get the tabs, great song.

    Greetings from Holland.

  • you sir, do NOT have an ear for music. at all.

  • @balabanoba Thanks? Hmmm. Yeah, thanks for watching. At least you added 1 to the view count.

  • Fantastic! I don't know if it's the nylon strings or just your playing, but i enjoy your version more thany any other on YouTube.

  • I hope it's, at least, a mix of both factors.

I am absolutely grateful for your comment. Thank you very much. You made my day.

  • Super

  • Thanks!

  • Does anyone have the music and/or tab for this song? Or where to buy it? I bought Saslow's book Art of Ragtime Guitar back in the 1970's when it first came out, but it's long since gone.

  • You can find it at: acoustictruth (dot) com (slash) ragtime2 (dot) html

  • one of my favorite versions. Im learning it also and trying to figure out your variations. love the sound of the nylon. what kind of guitar is it?

    thanks

    Jeff

  • Hi, Jeff: Nice to know you like this version. I like the sound of nylon, too :) Julian Bream once said: "There's only one thing that's better than a nylon string: two nylon strings". The guitar I used to record this video is a Vicente Tatay Tomás, a Spanish guitar maker. It is a basic student guitar., though.

    Regards,

    Dany.

  • I've seen about 7 versions of Ragpickin' and yours is the cleanest. I play it as well with different fingering, but I'm going to use your vid as a template. Great stuff!

    Do you do Bloozinay?

  • Hi, htcstech. Thank you very much for you comment. I'm very pleased. My teacher felt really happy when he read it, too. Thanks for using it as a template.

Unfortunately, I do not play Bloozinay. Do you?

  • @htcstech Hi: Thanks for your comment. No, I do not play Bloozinay; but if at anytime I do, I'll let you know!

  • clear, smooth and what a catchy tune, nice picking.

  • Thanks, blunissan. It's nice you liked it.

  • @blunissan Thanks, blunissan.

  • Beautiful Playing! Please check out my paying of "Make Believe Stunt" and let me know what you think-Steve Koehler

  • Thanks, my friend.

I can't see any videos on your profile.

  • Go to "Make Believe Stunt" where I am playing a 12 string.

  • superb playing! solid as a rock

  • Thanks, sellobic; that's quite an encouraging comment! You're most invited to watch the rest of my videos.

    Regards,

    Dany.
