Maya tutorial. animating fur with dynamics

this is a realy good tutorial , how do i get the fur to show up in a render once i have attached the fur to the hair ?

There seems to be a problem with my rendering, when i rendered it the animation went realy fast and the fur didnt show. Any ideas on that? would be greatly appreciated ^^

Great tutorial thanks! However I have a problem and cannot find anything online explaining it. Thing is, I customized a haircut to one of my character for a short film using fur baldness, length, polar, inclinaison and roll maps. Dynamics won't work when the maps are ON. Is there a way to get around this?
