What's interesting is that Jesus own words show that his return wasn't imminent:
John 21:17-19 speaks of the death peter would die, showing that peter would die before the Lord's return, even in the possible pre-trib rapture.
Mat 24:2 Jesus speaks about the destruction of the temple, which occurred in a.d. 70, and Daniel 9 speaks about a prince that rises who was the prince of the people who destroyed the city and the temple(the antichrist)..who had to come after the temple was destroyed.
which means, Jesus had no plans on coming back before a.d. 70. We also use Israel becoming a nation in 1948 as the indicator that we are in the last generation. How could the last generation have come before that point? This shows that in all this time, Jesus had no plans to come, and that we were told things that would happen before his return.
These show his return isn't imminent, no matter what spin people try to put on it. Why else did Jesus say that we should look up when these things...
begin to happen, for our redemption draweth nigh.
Should we always be watching, and looking, by all means...these signs were given so that we would know when his return was close so that day wouldn't catch us unawares as opposed to those who are not watching. To them it will occur like a thief, not us. We were given signs to pay attention to, signs that wake us up and tell us that his footsteps are getting louder.
Pre-trib isn't Biblical and Christ's return isn't imminent. No, all things are timed. God works according to His timeline. Prior to Christ's return the 3rd Jewish Temple shall be built, anti-christ shall be made manifest, northern and southern kingdoms (gov'ts/powers) will surround the Israel, the sun darken, moon turned to blood, times of the gentiles completed and then the sign of Christ in heaven. Dead in Christ resurrected and living christians raptured. Then millennium kingdom. God bless.
@3:19, yes, those who believe in a Rapture that can come any time are often falsely accused of having bunker mentality, withdrawing from society due to belief we could be leaving in the Rapture & not having to go through the coming wrath...but the opposite is true, it's those who are planning to go through the wrath that are distracted to obsession w/ survivalist preparations, while we anticipating the Rapture are busy evangelizing & living for His glory, b/c don't know if we have time to waste

For light on the "imminent" merchants, Google "Christ's return is NOT imminent," "Pretrib Rapture - Hidden Facts," "Pretrib Rapture Secrecy," "Famous Rapture Watchers - Addendum," "Letter from Mrs. Billy Graham," "Pretrib Rapture Dishonesty," "Thieves' Marketing," "America's Pretrib Rapture Traffickers," "Pretrib Hypocrisy," "Thomas Ice (Bloopers)," "X-Raying Margaret," "Edward Irving is Unnerving," "The Rapture Index (Mad Theology)," and (most timely) "Pretrib Rapture Politics."

I remember studying with the John Ankerberg show long ago and learned a lot from various speakers. One of them being Mr. Showers
Thanks for uploading these classic sound teachings.

the gospel must be preached to all the world. Imminency. jesus knew the gospel had to be preached first.
so this is also false.
also the great apostacy must come obviously after the gospel is preached. the apostacy is what restrans the antichrist READ IN CONTECT
EXEGETICAL ESCATOLOGY
VS
NOT FABELS OF MEN

@530HELP Yea but see again it says the "Gospel Must be Preached throughout the world and Then the END will come"
That is the END
The rapture (PRE) is not the END. It comes at least 7 years prior
then the END of the age will transpire.
Again you are looking at scripture very narrowly without even true understanding of what WE believe as the rapture.
Now in a future video I will prove the Lord comes before the antichrist.
