Wow!!! what voices, and what a conductor. I must sadly say that this kind of artists are not available anymore!!!. Claude Heater is a vocal and "physic du rol" to look for!!!.I don´t remember any tenor form the past or nowadays, that has that great physical presence with an extraordinary voice like that!!!. I must say that in this days, Mr. Heater still looks great and sounds like when young!!!...I asure that personally...BRAVOOOO!!!!

Dear Afro Poli, I would be very happy to know where you obtained this clip and if there is a chance that there is more. I was the Siegfried in this clip. I saw Maestro Maazel two years ago after a concert but was unaware of the clip at the time...

@tantris3 Dear Mr. Heater, this comes from a documentary on the Deutsche Oper (German TV). I am sure the Deutsche Oper has tapes of the entire performances. You should contact them.

I was a big fan of Afro Poli back in Italy during the 50's heard him many times at La Scala and on the RAI. The tenor in the Gotter with Gladys is me. The only other videos with me singing is on my Tantris3 Channel with clips of my Tristan. I would be pleased to get a copy of the clip especially if there is a longer portion. I hope the whole role of Siegfried was as good as the few seconds here. Thanks!

I am my own voice teacher who has helped develop many voices to reach their potential. At 82 with a paralized left diaphram I am singing some things better than I did 40 years ago.
