@workatthefarm Your profile says you're from Saint Barthelemy, and I really hope that's true. That comment is not from Norway, it's from you. Do not address a comment like that as if you are speaking for a nation. It's really ignorant and it shows your stupidity when you think you can speak for a whole nation with aggressive and horrible comments like that.
Norway is beautiful and this song also is, but why do Norwegians always associate everything beautiful with national pride? Christmas celebrations are a good example. In all other Christian nations, Christmas is about commemorating the birth of Jesus. But in Norway, this holiday is mostly about celebrating Norway..
There are many aspects of Norway not worth cheering about. For instance, neighbouring Sweden has higher GDP growth and a higher standard of living despite having no oil. Howcome?
@scholion Blatantly wrong sorry. And sweden is heavely in debt. Despite being an awesome country.
Anyways, we are not very religious, so christmas is now a special day for family and friends enjoing cultural food and music in the framework of a christian holiday.
@scholion I've never heard of anyone celebrating Norway on christmas. We celebrate Jul (Yule). Great traditional food in the company of family and friends.
As for the oil money. Reason is, we don't use it. Since you're swedish, read up on Handlingsregelen on the norwegian wikipedia.
You really don't know anything about your neighbours, do you?
@scholion, Norwegian GDP is higher than that of Sweden, even though there are twice as many Swedes than Norwegians. Thus, the answer to your question could be that Sweden has been in a low conjuncture, which we know to be true, for quite some time. This is when oil is kept out of the picture.
@Zentaria Saa Sant. Bor i england selv..
Brazil sucks; from Norway.
