The magic wand is truly magical, it's specificity (tolerance) can really help us select the desired part of the image that we want in significant precision. One thing I dislike in PS is the part where you cant legitimately undo your work to make more like the way you want, if you mess up and wan't to go back, you can't, and that restricts you from reaching the maximum potential of art/photography you can create with Photoshop.

I already had experiences of cutting out images and editing photos, but I never knew I could move selected areas by pressing the spacebar! It made it a whole lot easier to draw a circular marquee right around the circular objects.

I was on the right track, but I really didn't know any of the shortcuts that definitely would have made my life easier. By using all the selection tools, I figured out which one was best for what.
