good job man. all the notes are there but just because its an etude don't mean you can't make more music out of it. slow sections were very melodic but not so much the fast. it is harder to phrase when you play fast but when you do people will be impressed

Very nice playing. I have a couple of questions though and you can probably answer them. From what I can tell the tuba you're using is a Miraphone 186 Bb? I'm wondering what's the highest note you can play with a good solid sound. And also, when you play high (above the staff), does your airstream go upwards or down?

Thank you and yes its a 186Bb. Back around this time when I played this piece I could probably play an Eb above the staff(but not for extended periods of time), lol. When I play higher notes my airstream tends to go down naturally which usually helps me with the higher pitches.

not bad, But not perfect either, I'm a ninth grader soon to be a tenth grader. Just work on tone, clarity of notes, and intervals, and a little bit more stuff. What number are you in your state? and what grade are you going into and what grade were you in here? lol

wow, awesome! Yeah I loved that piece, ever heard the piece Haddad Suite for tuba? I'm working on the 1st and 3rd movements, I got the 3rd movement nearly perfect in only, well I've practiced since Monday, and haven't started on the 1st yet. Anyway yeah, you're majoring in music right?

But no, I'll most likely major in Political Science or something similar to it.

I should invest in my own horn to keep my chops up over the years since I'm not majoring in music though...
