Discrimination against gays is a policy endorsed and a prejudice pandered to whole heartedly by the top of the party. Stirring up gay hatred has been an electoral tool used and endorsed whole heartedly by the top of the party. I told my parents I was gay when I was away at college (they, of course already knew and didn't care). I became a Christian after graduating from Med School.
