Koi, Goldfish, Shubunkin

The black fish is a young koi. It is all black. A very active fish which feeds from my hand and quite curious. Thanks for you interest. Have a Happy New Year.

what's your tank size? I only have 4 in a 20 gallon setup.

This tank is a 90 gallon tank. I took the picture sideways b/c this is where the fish are most active and receive food. Sadly some of the fish are deceased. I purchased new fish and after two weeks the others started getting sick. The white bodied shubunkin with the red patch on his head died. I guess the lesson learned is to quarantine new fish. Thanks for commenting.

Your fish are beautiful, and they look very happy and healthy. Is that pale golden one a butterfly koi? They're lovely.

Thanks for your comment. The koi is a butterfly koi. Best I can tell is the base color is a light yellow to white with yellow and grey highlights. It is a very active fish. Only one other koi in the tank, a black standard fin.
