  • these are really funny, especially knocking on Evans door.

  • Oh god I will never be able to sing Love Shack at karaoke the same way again...

  • Haha, when I was younger, I always thought that in the song "I'm Blue", instead of him singing "I'm Blue, Dabadee Dabadie" and so on, I thought it was "I'm Blue, I believed I would die, I believed I would die, I believed I would die!" xD

    The jokes one me. ;D

  • @Scraggy333 I thought it was "Im blue, like the sea , like thesky, like the sea, like the sky...:" xD

  • @Scraggy333 I never heard the thing and wasn't sure if it was real lyrics or not. So now I saw the video for Blue (Da Ba Dee) by Eiffel 65. Frankly it seems like they never got around to writing any lyrics anyhow so what the heck. Make them up.

  • I saw a lot of these mondegreens in the book "'Scuse Me While I Kiss This Guy", which I bought back in the mid 90s.

  • @geezerbill That book is hillarious but sad, realizing that there are so many clueless in the world who just don't listen or artists who are incoherent singers. It was with that book where I first heard the term Mondegreens. From 1995 by Gavin Edwards. I wonder if he ever made a sequel. I'm a guy, I'm a bee, ad nauseum. I don't know that song. What is it really trying to say?

  • @UglySean, yes there were two follow-up books: "When a Man Loves a Walnut" and "He's Got The Whole World In His Pants". I think the first book was the best of the 3, but the other two had some really good mondegreens.

  • @geezerbill Thanks. Actually he is one author that answers email so he informed me of this fact. I just have to find those books.

Still it was goofy when I was being toilet trained there was a new song on the radio called "Let it Be" - but relating it to my infant existence I took it as "Let it Pee" - I also had no idea I was listening to one of the last hits of one of the greatest bands ever.

  • Awesome adding of Hugh the Borg. :D

  • My habitual Mondegreene was in the Johnny Nash song " I Can See Clearly Now";

"I can see all icicles in my way."

  • I always sang "Skip a life and dangle", and still do now. Hey, it's a better lyric than "Skip the light fandango." Just look at my login name!

  • Evan? Evan?

  • the only one that really sounds like that is "Batman!"

  • LOL I heard "I will go down with this sh** too". :-D

  • My favourite Jon Carroll Mondegreen was an infamous Cyndi Lauper line:

"Oh mother dear, we're not the poor chicken buns

But girls just wanna have fun . . . "

  • the Jimi Hendrix one was a classic.. even now i still think he said "excuse me while i kiss this guy"

  • Scorpions Winds of Change...

"Follow me down to donkey park you dumb squat"

  • this deserves way more views than how many it has!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5/5

  • Ya I have experiences with those. Van Halen's "Panama" I thought they were going "Cannonball" XD

  • "hey Stan have you seen Evan?, I can't find him anywhere"

  • Just knock on his door, duh.

  • Alright, what IS that song with the mondegreen "I'm blue, I'm a bee, I'm a guy..."??? I MUST KNOW!

  • uhm Its sung by Gigi D'Agoustini

  • Is that a joke?

    Do your fact finding lol

It's Eiffel 65 with their hit Blue

  • nope its, Blue-Eiffel 65

  • its scatting, not real words

  • Lady Mondegreen don't care. ;)

  • LOL. it's amazing. i wan't even alive when a bunch of these songs came out LOL.

which is why this it even more hysterical.

  • 3:52 is the best part

  • "Hold me closer, Ted Danson" - Elton John

  • Awesome funny. I love mondegreens. My favorite is Benny Lava, of course.

  • That was the OPPOSITE of an emulsion!!!

  • Funny, man. Good work

  • lol.. sweet emulsion XD

    nice choice of Hugh, too!

  • when i was a kid, i used to sing "there's the bathroom on the right" lol

  • Hot Brick!

  • Guess what.. for several years I honestly believed that "there's a bathroom on the right" were the lyrics to Bad Moon Rising until I saw someone sing it on Don't Forget The Lyrics...

  • I always thought Cornershop sang "It's a grim, fuller rasher. Order 45."

  • Oh this was just beautiful! XD

  • i think there's a babboon on the right!

  • Another one buys a bus by Queen

    (another one's bite the dust)

A friend of mine sang that for a whole year, we always begged him to sing it again

    Nutz

  • applauds. well done. why have only 230 viewed this. this is wayyy funnier the vids that have been viewed on comedy thousands of times lol

  • Actual Lyric: Help me get my feet back on the ground:(Lennon/McCartney).
