Do you need the 4-wheel drive. I've heard they will never get as good mileage as the normal transmissions. Don't buy Mercurys, Ford is discontinuing that duplicate brand name to concentrate on the Lincoln brand. About time. They have been selling against themselves for decades. I once had a Mercury Cougar (1969) with a SUN ROOF. Loved it. Great for driving between the skyscrapers of New York, especially at night. Go Jenn for not tolerating the blood and violence.

@Cttf1 Thanks! carmax is a car dealer that was started by circuit city, and their whole deal is that you dont haggle with the sales person, its like going to any other store. the price they have marked is the price you pay. so they have no reason to play tricks on you or try to force you into a certain car. so i can go there and just test drive cars if i wanted to and walk out with out even letting them know my name! its cool! that little nissan that i have is surprisingly roomy on the inside!

@rawimpact i know about the battery replacement, but ford has a 8 year/100,000 mile warranty on "all hybrid parts" so im still in the process of looking up if that covers the battery or not, if not carmax's extended warranty does cover hybrid batteries.
