This Ali on this night was probably the best Ali during the 70s. This Ali no longer had ring rust and had better stamina than the Ali that fought Frazier in 1971. This Ali would have defeated Frazier in their first fight no doubt.
One of the best fights, in the true generation of great boxers, that for the last 20 years has not come near,(even Tyson), the reason we loved boxing. Happy 70th birthday Ali, still the greatest!!
Right back at me? Wtf I havnt commented on any boxing matter so hows my boxing knowledge called into question?? Please dont deny any more of your stupidity, you have shown yourself as the clear moron you are..
@oporciuncula ....Don't feed into what others say! Ali would have turned tyson into pig slop! The fighters you think are so great totally depend on quick results and had less than 1% of the stamina Ali had. Engage your brain before you put your mouth in gear mon!!!!
@Mistadreadnewstyle eat dirt man.and how can you say that Tyson dont have the level of fitness of stamina that Ali has? He is one of the fittest boxers at his prime which is why he could go for the wuick knockouts. My mouth is definitely into gear mon. If Ken Norton can break Ali's Jaws...Tyson can knock his head off!
There are very few things Americans could proud on....Ali is one of them...He was not only a great boxer but was a great person as well...having great sense of humor and great values...he was a man of honor....Respects for him from each and every part of the world.
I don't see the reason why people watch this fight and they comment who is the greatest fighter I just clicked on this video to see two men just beat the shit out of each other
Muhammed Ali, Mike Tyson in his prime & maybe Sugar Ray Robinson is the G.O.A.T. pound for pound!!! also i give a boxing shout out to Roy Jones Jr. in his prime as well as Julio Cesar Chavez
The 1st round was more exciting than Wladimir Klitschko's entire career! And you just gotta love Smokin' Joe Frazier! Such a great guy. I hope him all the best!
At 3:25 hear Joe say "hey I'm calling blow by blow, WATCH IT BOY! " lol He was well excited. You know deep down he rated Ali, and wanted to see how Ali would cope with Foreman. This was a big treat for him like a young kid getting excited. LOL
thank U so much 4 uploading. Ive seen this fight over & over again...thanks 2 U!
it is so beautiful, init? ... i was a kid when i 1st saw it, i thought foreman was killing ali (didnt understand anythg at all by then), but ali always came back... wow
@JChaosP He was talking shit in his ear, trying to piss him off and make him throw more punches. Ali knew he had to keep him punching and take the fight into the late rounds. Foreman wore down and in the end Ali could have probably blown him down.
@wild0hawk : your history is a certain history, it's not THE history. Go back to school little kid ;-) For boxing specialists, Ali is what he is : an arrogant boxer who was not that good nor powerful.
@fatsnorkel Out of 1000 possible boxers in history, you choose the advertising, money-making one, like all morons : Ali. Look at how he's. Like i said, he was not strong enough to be considered as one of the best heavyweight ever, many of great boxers kicked and would kick his dancing queen ass. Go back to school little kid.
@franzn81 "Ali.Look at how he's.Like i said,he was not strong enough to be considered as one of the best heavyweights ever" Hahaha! Erm.....put down the crack pipe and off to bed mate.C'mon you've obviously had a big day....
Are you kidding me? his ''dancing queen ass' is why he was such a good boxer, he could barely be touched, he could eat hits, and his punch was under rated. Have you not seen Ali Fight some Killer boxers? and you swear you have been alive for all these ''1000 boxers'' your knowledge is weak and has nothing to back it up, sounds like you just don't like Ali. Oh yea, Ali would most certainly knock you out.
@chingy95 and others : there is no doubt about Ali being a good boxer. He was a special one, very remarkable, for sure. But the fact remains that he's over rated sir. He's sold with big interest for commercial purposes, noise he made with his islamic beliefs and other reasons, while other good boxers are kept in the shadow and are largely forgotten for a lot of boxing amateurs. Ali was very good when he still bared his original name of Cassius Clay, after that and besides a few exceptions
@franzn81 Of course, no matter what, you cant stop old aging. It is not his fault he lost skill. When you get older, everything goes bad, reaction, eye coordination, thinking, speed, stamina, erections... everything. Yes, he had a huge mouth, but did he not back it up with the results? Just because he is not a ''touching man'' all of a sudden your not a good boxer? if you can box you can box, loud mouth or non touching, or quiet and friendly. Are we not old enough to say bullshit? If you want
@franzn81 If you want to make a strong and valid argument, you would sound much wiser without having to say any curse words, would you not agree? Plus, no one really like Ali back in the days when he was boxing, it is now that everyone likes him. Still, if you say i need books, you need boxing books, if I need a critical mind, your in dire need of one, if you think I need a brain... well would I not be able to write back to you if I didn't have a brain? Maybe you should put yours to better use.
@chingy95 dude you right franzn81 cant make a valid argument without swear words and besides Ali was one of the best boxers of all time along with Mike Tyson
(i.e. his tactical win versus G. Foreman) he got old badly and lost a lot of his skill. He was not a durable champ and was overall a big damn mouth, not a touching man. So, seriously, you and your bulls*** arguments like "you would be knocked out by Ali" should be recycled. Get books, a critical mind (sharp it up!) and most of all... a brain. ;-) Best regards from Belgium.
@Stingsal04 : He had a lot of decisions in his favors. He won very very difficulty after a certain age and passed the aged of 30 he was not even able to throw a punch anymore : he was dead meat. Watch his final fights. He was only pretty good in his first games. This guy is a joke, famous only for extra-sport events. And his big mouth and stupidities (Islam shit and all) made him famous and he became a DOUGH PUMP for managers etc. He was more a dancer than a tough boxer. Study little kid, study
@Stingsal04 : On the Manilla fight, Ali was dead and Frazier still fighting on the 15 th round and the match should have continued so Frazier would have won (he already had the rounds for him). There was no reason to stop it as the judged let it go to the end already in that heat and conditions. So it did not make any sense to stop. Frazier was blind (he only had ONE eye before the fight) but Ali was dead. Study boxing amigo, you'll find out Ali was VERY overated. Not powerful for a heavyweight
You're wrong. Frazier has actually won the Manilla fight versus Ali, he's the actual winner with no contest (for rounds and for the fact that Ali was dead on legs whereas Frazier even blind was still fighting). 2-1 for Frazier considering his only loss (the second fight) was VERY discutable. Study boxing affairs more little boy. Ali was very overated. He did not have the punch to be one of the best heavyweights of all times.
@franzn81 YOU need to get your facts right buddy, Ali won the manila fight making it 2 victories against 1 loss to
Frazier. I don't know where you've been getting these crazy ideas about Frazier beating Ali twice. And I'm sorry to disappoint you, " considering his only loss (the second fight) was VERY discutable" WHAT???? hahahaha don't make me laugh, that fight was decided by unanimous decision! You better not talk about what you don't know!
@CadeTatum Frazier is one win and four losses against the greatest of his era Ali and Foreman. How in the wrold can he be underrated. Watch the two Foreman fights and the two knockouts and eight knock downs and then tell me this guy had any chin. Heart he had but underrated come on, He is in the top ten of all time great heavyweights with a 1-4 record against the best of his era. Overrated more like it. And by the way that one win was against Ali qa after a three year lay off for Ali.
Don't think Tyson hit harder than Foreman, no way man. Besides did you see Ali in his prime. This fight he was way past his prime. He would not have had to rope a dope Tyson in his PRIME. He would have moved him all over the ring and knocked him out in seven. Also Sonny Liston had a hell of punch too...
Ali would have whipped Tyson's ass if they were both in their prime. Not even close. So would of Foreman and Frazier. I agree Ali was the Greatest of All Time. A Heavyweight who moved like a Welterweight and had the quickest hands I've ever seen... Too bad he didn't retire a few fights sooner. I love Ali....
Ali couldn't play rope a dope with Tyson he would have some broken ribs and or internal bleeding with his power.I'm talking 1985 Tyson that was his best before Cus died part of Tyson died then.Throw in that greedy cunt he married and he was mind fucked poor guy!!
@Eddygouro ali for sure but tyson fought bums for most of his career. any time he got a real boxer he got layed the f*^% out. cough cough (Holyfield) cough
A better all around boxer, sure. But anyone who thinks that would automatically equal a win against Tyson is insane. The one thing Tyson had in his prime was the ability to land one punch. Ali had a great chin but there's no chin, imo, that could handle a direct shot from a 20 year old Tyson. So really, it would come down to Ali's ability to navigate around Tyson's power. If he does that, I think he wins easily. Easier said than done.
@Nintariz First let me say Im a big of a Tyson fan as much as anyone,his talent is unique and in his prime he'd no doubt make the top 10 or 5 all time.BUT he was never truly tested in his prime, knocked out a bunch of tomato cans and had trouble putting out an aged Larry Holmes. Holmes btw, said Shavers hit harder than Tyson.Tyson had hand-speed in addition to knockout power but Liston, Shavers, Foreman all hit harder and Ali dealt with them and other hard punchers well past prime(except Liston)
Ali said Tyson would have beaten him. So if you want to argue whether or not Tyson was the heaviest hitter, or whether or not he belongs in the debate, maybe you should take it to Ali himself.
@Nintariz And Tyson said Ali woulda wupped him too, so guess you gotta take it up with Iron Mike as well. ;) I bet you're sourcing the Arsenio Hall interview with both of them and Sugar Ray Leonard. Anyone can easily find this on youtube, simply search "Ali Tyson Arsenio". In that interview, even Tyson acknowledged Ali took on "killers" like Foreman, Shavers, Liston and so on equal to him. Prime Tyson was ferocious but not invincible. James Tillis and a few more went the distance with Tyson.
But I never said Tyson WOULD beat Ali. I said that it would have been a good chess match. Could Ali take a clean upper cut from a 20 year old Tyson? Could Tyson keep his composer through all of the holding and grabbing and mind games that Ali would have used against him? How would Tyson handle Ali's reach and jab or stamina? No one really knows. All I know is that BOTH men would have beaten the other. Anyone else who says otherwise is a fool.
i saw all these fights live at the time, we all used to say the same, Ali was never a boxer he was a dancer, yes he had stamina to dance round the ring ducking & diving & wearing his apponents out. Frazier was always better,old smokin joe proved that when he came back & beat Ali. BUT! everyone is forgetting 1 thing, only the late GREAT HENRY COOPER ever took ali off his feet & its been proven that the bell that saved Ali was rung too early. ok so tyson cud hit but i dont talk about cheats.
@Eddygouro to be honest mike tyson was better then ali coz he actually would fight and take his opponents out ali was just posing i like ali and im a fan but just to clarefie mike tyson is the best
@2tsf9 u cant say that because u never saw them fighting....maybe Tyson is more powerful,but the thing is if he could catch ali with his speed,whatever both of them are my favorite of all time.
@Eddygouro Ali with his attitude, with his character gave something to the world, even he was arrogant with the greatest EGO he did some good and i mean with that he has the whole package as an athlete. Big Words and Practice. Stand against the system. Against a whole country ! And only for this he walk's alone the Highway. Tyson is in another road with no lights on it in some few meters... There is no compare between them as athelts !
fight starts at 4:47 you're welcome...

@Eddygouro Muhammad Ali is better than Tyson :)

@KeyMasterGateKeeper
Ali said Tyson would have beaten him. So if you want to argue whether or not Tyson was the heaviest hitter, or whether or not he belongs in the debate, maybe you should take it to Ali himself.
Nintariz 6 months ago
@Nintariz And Tyson said Ali woulda wupped him too, so guess you gotta take it up with Iron Mike as well. ;) I bet you're sourcing the Arsenio Hall interview with both of them and Sugar Ray Leonard. Anyone can easily find this on youtube, simply search "Ali Tyson Arsenio". In that interview, even Tyson acknowledged Ali took on "killers" like Foreman, Shavers, Liston and so on equal to him. Prime Tyson was ferocious but not invincible. James Tillis and a few more went the distance with Tyson.

@KeyMasterGateKeeper

@KeyMasterGateKeeper
..I mean, both men COULD have beaten the other.

i saw all these fights live at the time, we all used to say the same, Ali was never a boxer he was a dancer, yes he had stamina to dance round the ring ducking & diving & wearing his apponents out.

Great fight and a turning point for both fighters, from this fight, one lost his voice and the other found his.

@RamsesReturns
I can read that either way, and either way it makes sense.
But anybody who'll lay on the ropes and let George Foreman pound on him has cojones grandes. I've read Ali pissed blood for two months afterwards.

@brianallancobb :) I think if you asked Ali would he do it again... he would nod no doubt. This perhaps was the greatest of all boxing upsets.
