@Scarecrow545 I believe that Lockdown is a very exceptional map. I think knifers get a lot of good games there just due to many of the enemy engagements being in close quarters. Smarter players prepare for the close quarters though with strikers, Dual FMG9s, or rapid fire SMG's so it does depend on the skill of the enemy team but mainly a great map.

It's one of my favorites for this kind of tactical play. I think it helps that it's very easy to flank or ghost and get behind enemy lines as well on it. That's my problem with most MW3 maps actually, with this, Bakaara, Fallen, and maybe Downturn being exceptions. Not enough complexity to the maps. No very good flank routes, not enough power positions and low to high ground dynamics (sniping buildings and such), etc. Compare to Pipeline or Crash from MW...

What do you prefer for knifing and why: USP Akimbo or Tac Knife?

@DaSHgfx It used to be the akimbo but now I'm back to the tac knife. I've been knifing recently with the default melee that comes with holding a primary weapon without the melee proficiency and now I just want to use something really fast. So it changes all the time but for now the tac knife.

I think its much harder for knifers on mw3. Maps are bigger. Every1 uses assassin. Op killstreaks in the air all the time like reaper ac130 etc. N a knife brought to a gun fight. Great video! Real informative and well done

@CKGambitII That's the thing man, as a knifer you have to close the gap. Basically the only range tactics you can use are "baiting" which is fooling the enemy to close the distance to come to you (which I'll cover in my next video) OR using your throwing knife which I'm going to devote a whole episode to. Of course you can close the gap yourself but that involves running at them which is very dangerous. Using concussion grenades helps in that situation.

Quick Tip: use the USAS primary as it lets you sprint for 18 seconds, and then switch as soon as you stop printing

You forgot to go over the most effective and my favorite knifing tactic.When an enemy sees you quickly run behind cover to make him think thatv your flanking him.Once you are out of his vision turn back the way you came from and 9 times out of 10 you will catch the enemy looking the other way.Im sure you use it Clever because its a beast tactic.
