  • A combination of a great Irish singer, and a member of the greatest Band ever. Could'nt fail to be amazing. I went to the original Wall concert, the only thing (looking back), that could have improved it, would have been the presence of Sinead. I know she was'nt ''On the scene'' them day's, but one can imagine eh?

  • @prettykiray This is the first and only version. When they lost power, everyone came back the next day except Sinead. She didn't need to.

  • @codeboy61 thanks for replying...technical difficulties that Sinead hated before?? yeah? that's why she always sing live... and on the spot?

  • Matka

    Miłością cię otuli szczelnie,

    Jej ciało twoim schronieniem będzie,

za twoje życie - swoje poświęci.

    Krew z krwi.

Ciągłość życia, jego sens i cel,

    spełnienie uczuć,

    spełnienie istnienia..

To wszystko teraz tuli w ramionach

    Matka

  • se zarpa la vos de ella

  • who played accordian

  • Garth Hudson from the Band played accordion. Levon Helm and Rick Danko, also from the Band, are the ones singing with Waters here.

  • which one is levon helm? the one with the beard?

  • Garth Hudson.

  • I remember watching this on telly, and it was a shit concert, but it wasn't, it was just the sound was crap and some groups did forget their lyrics, top album thou

  • Did you guys know that this is re-recorded, becuase origianally the band forgot the lyrics, :D

  • that solo truly sucked, full proof that there is no replacement for Sir David Gilmour

  • Yes, it just isn't the same without him. He really makes the band. When he sings it moves me so much more. David Gilmour is the best.

  • znakomite

  • I was there in '90 and it was my most beautiful musical experience ever. The music was great, the location was perfect, the performance was excellent. Wished Dave Gilmour had joined the performance, though.

  • Ironic that the band sings the part of the mother and sinead sings the child.

  • wonderful! just beautiful!

  • Beautiful!!!!

  • this is song was shot a day before the show

  • coisa LINDA

  • Amazing voice!!! I have the DVD myself, love it!!! :D

  • Good for her, I love her obvious passion everytime she performs particularly in this, reminds me slightly of myself, that could be scary, do like the roger waters version with doyle

  • Great to see part of The Band again.

All respect to Garth, Rick and Levon!

  • Bless her heart, she is so nervous she is shaking. Great, great performance....

  • no she never i think it sounds good u amature

  • GUNS N ROSES messed it up!

  • lol they rarely played it, only i couple of times

  • beautiful!!!!

  • 4.35 to 4.49 class.

  • i was not even one year old when this was recorded.

now im 18 and it gives me goosebumbs as if i'd been there in the crowd somewhere.

  • I have to admit that it would have been good to see Dave singing the chorus but I really enjoyed this concert when it was broadcast worldwide.I thought shinad did fine.

People can diss it all they want but it was one of the biggest shows ever.

Sorry but I am not set on the Gilmour camp or the Waters camp or even the Wright camp (He did a great album 'Broken China' in 96.

It's all good as far as I am concerned.

  • just perfection .. love love this cover

  • The best concert ever staged...pink floyd are the top; this is incredible, every album is a story! not a collections of singles...Rock is dead, today..

Thanks Pink floyd, thanks for your uncopyble music and atmosphere...

  • Well put fendernik, I totally agree!!!!

  • Perfect, that performance evolved into new a new flavour with the original craftsman at the helm.

Just how music should be .

  • Best show ever! Got it on DVD. ^_^

  • yuc, I don't like this version. Roger and Katie K sing it much better on their live dvd and the guitar work is much more enlightening.

  • Big deal, there's an artist at work here and not just a singer.

  • I dont like this version as much as I like the virsion with the woman that sings in the choir. THAT woman can fucking siiing :o Listen to that. Everytime I hear it I get goose pimples!

  • damn straight man...that woman can siiiiinng. it's the version with the 3 back-up singers i am thinking about..

  • divinal

  • This is one of the best versions of Mother ever - hands down.

  • +10000 god damn you're right!

  • lo mejor de lo mejor,

  • Just!

  • This remains to be the largest concert ever held on European soil! It was a great event marking the fall of the Berlin Wall. For those Pink Floyd fans that wish they had the Wall Live on DVD( Is There Anybody Out There Tour was never released on DVD) This is the closest thing. Really enjoyed this myself.

  • I love the Is There Anybody Out There tour. My only disappointments with The Wall is that Pink Floyd played Empty Spaces and not What Shall We Do Now, and cut out the second verse to The Show Must Go On. But they didn't do either on Is There Anybody Out There. They also left in the nice piano intro to The Thin Ice, which was nice for me. :)

  • awesome version

  • Didnt Sinead die in a farming accident?

  • not bad...i like it.

  • Whos the redneck with the baseball cap whos voice is quivering?

  • That took guts to sing that song considering she was sexually abused as a child ...

    Respect ...

MUCHAS GRACIAS POR EL VIDEO, enserio gracias

  • i was there, and 500.000 other too. but it was a nice evening.

  • FUCK YEAH !!

  • what a great vocal this girl is

  • Yep, Roger Waters managed to get them all there, even Shinead O'Connor and Van Morrison, the two most difficult persons in the music bussiness.

  • piss off, Sinead's a pussycat.

  • ask Roger Waters... or watch the extra footage on the DVD...

  • All I can say is WOW; lot of great musicians listening to a great voice.

  • reminds me of the carefree days of high school when me and my crew would get together for D&D sessions and to watch a movie. We would watch The Wall, Dune, Akira interchangably.

    Ah... The memories!

  • Big Wow!

  • After midnight and while searching thru videos I came across Sinead and Waters... This is an awesome performance.w/some of the greatest musicians of our time! Gives me the chills to hear this song...

  • This must have been a very difficult song for our girl Sinead, you know her issues with her mother and such, I am sure this was not a coincidence she got to sing this of all the songs on the Wall...

  • I really really like it....it kinda works but dunno why. She's an amazing singer....a bit up herself and not a barrel of laughs.....but an amzing singer nevertheless.

  • sexist pig, would you comment on a male singer in the same judgemental way? She is an amazing artist, leave it at that. o.k.?

  • Sexist pig??? Erm, yes, I would comment on a male singer in the same way actually if he was up himself and a misery. Her gender has bugger all to do with my opinion so sod off dickhead.

  • Prick, the clue was in the question..... Judgemental?? I think your twattishness is all about her gender. You dont even realize it. That's frightening.

  • Ok, so any of you dumbies know who those Old" guys on the squeeze box and background vocals were?

watch the "Last Waltz"...... think you know music, ya know crap f' all........

  • I fekin luv this song, and not just coz of sinead (bows head in reverance)but coz of Roger and all the cats-- you know who they are, oops sorry joe, you dont.

  • hey hearditman,

    not following you.

  • roger waters was one

  • not as good as the original but its pretty good

  • Hey...heres another idea to screw it up beyond imagination, sort of a nail in the coffin...in the middle of the song lets get a bunch of country western singers like kenny rogers to do a good ole boys chorus....

  • Hey, how can we screw up this awesome song??? I know, lets get some old fart that looks like santa to play the accordian in the background...accordian, are you sure? Why not like a kazoo?

  • red sox voice rulz :>

  • this is amasing!

  • Awesome Passion Sinead!!!

  • floyd are the greatest fine musicians & rodgers lyrics just mix like honey on a sandwich super

  • Mad or not she is a brilliant artist and amazing to see and hear live. She is playing in London in November and I will be there. This performance, by all, is excellent.

  • the gentleman on accordian is Garth Hudson from The Band. Levon Helm and Richard Danko also from The Band sing backup with Van Morrisson. I feel this is among one of the most fantastic ensambles ever to grace a stage. Sineads vocals are beond discription. 100% amazing.

  • agree!Garth Hudson is just an incredible musician!and levon and rick give that song a typical band-note.love this version

  • Un ange passe...

  • Every song Sinead sings is from deep down inside. Same with this one. Beautiful. Who is the guy on accordian?

  • i love it but i think sinead should have sung the chorus and roger the verses

  • eccelso

  • Amazing.

  • I went to see this I was serving in Germany at the time. What a night.

  • excellent. bang on..

  • she is genius!

  • i think this is the best version of mother its friggen awesome i love it

  • Beautiful version of an exquisite song telling a dark and tragic story . . . .

  • Incredibly Good-Roger is an artist, whatever anyone says, Sinead's voice is wonderful though.

  • beautiful

  • increible ...gran encuentro de 2 majestuosos representantes de la musica rock , en esta interpretacion la humildad y fuerza de sinead es tremendamente impresionante....historico momento para los amantes de pink floyd y de sinead o'connor

  • You put it in the best words possible to describe such an a breath-taking performance from Sinead for such a genious-made song.

  • She has so much sadness, so much.

  • please,,,give credit where credit is do...the backing vocals and music from members of one of the greatest of all time...the Band...those harmonies pull it all together...i love the band,,,,check out "the waltz" for a clasic rock concert

  • As far as I remember this version is remastered. On the original gig she was impossible to be heard due to some technical problems. Still great interpretation :)

  • Didn't know that. Still GREAT! Ants

  • I watched that concert live on tv and I remember that the sound was not so bad at all then.

  • watched that concert live on tv and I remember that the sound was not so bad at all then.

  • I love this rendition. It's a shame technical difficulties resulted in her not singing it on the actual night (this is a recording of the practise session) but what a voice Sinead has.

  • i miss senead, fuck the pop, fuck the child molesters, fuck the monks and fuck who ever pushed her out of the scene

  • Why did this girl ever quit singing.Fuck the pope;God bless Sinead.

  • she never quit maybe her records just haven't been released in your country. as far as i know she released an album called Theology this year and an album of reggae covers about 2 years ago. she's mad but a great singer all the same. im more of a pink floyd fan but thought i'd let u know
