  • nail on the head ; DIVERSION:

  • @RELATEDXXX ~ yeah, never thought about the "shock and awe" implication. i haven't read alcohol prohibition history too well. was a.p. a smokescreen;^p for something going on then too? either way, with what's going on, i think that "s&a" is only one head of a handful of nails that's keeping an "umbrella" lid over all of us, especially those of us that it really helps. i'm glad that Mr. Hightower is "one of us." i wasn't that surprised, actually;^)

  • Help legalize Marijuana go to the non-profit web site norml(.)org. From there you can send an E-mail or print a letter to send to your local government officials in favor of Marijuana legalization. Let your voice be heard! Together we can make a difference!

  • there is no gateway drug there are only gateway people

  • Thank you Texas for Jim Hightower and Molly Ivins (R.I.P.), two of the greatest liberal gadflies in the nation.

  • This is the truth and I love you guys for speking the truth.

  • God bless this man and his fantastic voice of reason.

  • "more lazier" ? LOL!!! NICE GRAMMAR DF!!!

  • I'm using grammar at the level of red eyed retards so they can understand

  • @slingblade65 No, you're using your own grammar. Don't try to hide your stupidity behind self-righteousness, you aren't doing yourself any favors.

  • just watched an old RNC convention of Tim Pawlenty in which he said while stumping for John and Sarah.. " leave healthcare between a patient, and thier Dr., not the Govt" and then just this past Monday he VETOED a bill for medical marijuana, and left the door wide open for arrest and imprisonment of sick and dying patients, despite minnesota support for med. mj 2 to 1! (hes got his eye on 2012 INSTEAD of the will of the people), i for one will not forget him in 4 years, neither should YOU

  • JIM FOR PRESIDENT!

    IT IS VERY EASY

  • BULLSHIT!

  • Maybe you are the moron?

  • Ummmm-no.

  • I think you are a major moron.

  • Excellent interview and especially the questions. Go MPP!

  • There are many horrible aspects to the drug war, but at the end of the day, the issue is about LIBERTY. If you love freedom and the Constitution, you should be vehemently opposed to any unconstitutional measure that gives the federal government more power and takes away our rights. These are OUR bodies to do with what we will; it is not the governments business what I choose to smoke, drink or abstain from.

  • I love Jim Hightower!

  • Ya the welcome the new autocratic nation...the U.S.A

  • I always liked Jim Hightower's commentaries on NPR. Now I like him even more. :)

We're getting organized in Salt Lake. Check out the myspace pages: freedomactivism and hempower for examples. They also have links to letters to the editor the Salt Lake Tribune published of mine last Saturday and the City Weekly published a few weeks ago. Apparently scientist are using THC to shrink cancerous tumors in the lab. Google THC Cancer to see for yourself. Keep on keeping on, brothers and sisters!

  • The War on Drugs is part of the politics of fear.

  • I think the right has been fighting fantoms every since. First alcohol, then marijuana, then communists (first in Vietnam, then all over South and Central America), and now islamists.

There are threats out there, and there are people who have problems with drugs, but they always seem to lump everything and everyone together through costly and murderous policies that achieve nothing.

And they are always pushing a moralistic agenda, instead of being creative an analyzing the problem.

  • The war on drugs is really a war on We The People. It's time to take our power back.

  • "Profiles in Marijuana Reform" - nice!
