i have a decade day tomorrow at school and i chose the rocker 80s so this may help quite a bit.....totally cool video! i love how you put so much time into providing help for all of us out here!
You are so cute, you don't need any make up at all. I could imagine how beautiful you are with just a little mascara and eye liner and a soft pale lipstick. You are lucky to have a face that doesn't need tons of make up to look wonderful. Oh and by the way, your eye brows are perfect. They don't look odd at all.
I graduated high school in '87 so I love this look...brings back a lot of memories. Where is the eye portion? I would love to see how you did your eyes!! I used to do this crazy half and half thing with my lids back then.
does anybody know where the eye's portion of this video is...at the end she says she is gonna do her eye's next but, I cannot find that video anywhere.
I grew up in the 80's and I didnt know anyone in my town that did the "shimmer" above the cheecks or the stripe. The thing that people keep on forgetting about the 80's is like today there were different types of "80's" looks...the look your doing would be considered a borderline between prep and punk. The rest is pretty much right..though where's the big hair? Im so glad there really isnt any pics of me in the 80's..thankfully my mom did me that favor when she destroyed all my pics.
hi.. i really like the way ypu apply make ups.. do u know how or where can i download your videos.. i really like it.. iam from phi,.... plz send a response
too cool! good job with the cheeks! also, your scalp must've hurt like hell when you let your hair loose :) i like high ponytails, they emphasise long hair, the best part of it just flows on your shoulders, but when you untie it, esp after a couple of hours...
Watching this is so fun!I don't remember ever putting this much thought into it, and we certainly didn't have Mac!It was all about dramatic eyes cheeks AND lips!Color was the big thing, along with big hair and great big shoulder pads. LOL...it was crazy but fun! Thanks for the flashback.XOXO
Sincerely, you're a wonderful host. I'm just a random guy that will never use what I just learned from your video. But you are so interested by makeup that it is contagious. The fact that I just used 20 minutes of my life to learn 80s makeup says it all. You're worthy of a television show.
Hey!! It would be great if you could make a video about some beauty products (makeup brushes, makeup, colors, cleansers etc) that you think everyone needs or that you couldn't live without. It would be really helpful.
My french teacher and the class spend a good portion of class time talking about my excessive use of blush! I have no idea how this came up in class, but it was quite hysterical.
hi,nice videos i love them :) what is the name of the blush you used ? check out my videos when i put them in:) love from Hildur Ester from iceland :)
no matter what the foundation is I always end up looking orangey. I have tried soooo many brands and I am wondering if I should just not do powder at all.
Yes and 30 min to an hour. I use oil free foundations. The latest I have tried is coverfx with their $45 primer from sephora but it did the same thing. It also doesn't help that I am really pale.
omgg, i'd have the same problem too, especially with mac studiofix. my face would turn SOOOOOOOOOOO orange. then i switched to bare minerals and it wasn't as much of a problem nemore =D. the coverage for BE is more than a typical powder foundaton. however, i heard of people breaking out and having allergic reactions so i'd be careful if u do decide to try it.
I have tried Sheer Cover and it did not work at all. It offered no coverage and it was too damn expensive lol. Tell you its $30 but in reality it was $100.
I'm really really pale and love Lloreal true match in the lightest shade available. Sorry can't remember the name. I don't have oily skin though, so if its a matter of your oily skin changing the color, this might not help. This has been so far the only foundation I've found that is light enough for me.
I've been trying to figure it out... I got it now. You're like the big sister everyone girl always wanted! You're pretty sweet, you have tons of make-up and you know all the cool ways to use it!! You're neat! Thank you for your videos, they make me smile. :o)
so i have a question not really pertaining to this video, but i have a problem with my blush/bronzer staying on the whole day. do have any suggestions? please and thannkyous
Yes, try a cream blusher first if that doesn't work for you then perhaps a blush tint. What I like to do is do it right after your foundation before it dries, then it will stay longer on your cheeks. You have to mix and match to find out what works for your skin :)
Amazing 80's tutorial. It brought back some memories, (I was a teenage girl during the early 80's) However your video is much more detailed, as most people during the 80's really didn't know how to do it as well as you do. Actually, I was pretty good and it and it amazes me to see the very similar techniques that I used 25 years ago, being used by you now.
You are just so amazing! THANK YOU:)for this excellent video and for refreshing my memory!
Aww...you're so cute! I LOVE THE 80's...this gives me an idea...I'm gonna revisit the 80s for Halloween...funny you did this video b/c I just made an 80's hits CD...*^_^*

do you use a powder on your face?
no matter what the foundation is I always end up looking orangey. I have tried soooo many brands and I am wondering if I should just not do powder at all.

Do you have oily skin? It might have oxidized the foundation. How long before you are orange?

Have you tried a powder foundation? That may be better for your oily skin. Powder helps set the foundation and your shine.
pursebuzz 4 years ago
Well I need as much coverage as possible. I am in a no-win situation lol.
What would be a good powder foundation to use?
belovedangel1220 4 years ago
omgg, i'd have the same problem too, especially with mac studiofix. my face would turn SOOOOOOOOOOO orange. then i switched to bare minerals and it wasn't as much of a problem nemore =D. the coverage for BE is more than a typical powder foundaton. however, i heard of people breaking out and having allergic reactions so i'd be careful if u do decide to try it.
