@judashellramm Well, you won't loose any limbs but you could get a pretty good hole or tear in the skin. There are no sharp edges just sharp points. ;)

Amazing! A couple of weeks ago I tried to mess about with a boomerang with my son, but we could never catch it!

@eatmoreraw Post a video sometime of the boomerang up close and of you or your son throwing it. You may not be able to catch it if it is not a properly built boomerang. They can fall out of tune depending on what they are made of or where they are stored when not in use.

@boomerangcraig I had the same problem with my Key board last year. Found out 1 of my kids spilled juice in it. I disassembled it, cleaned it, then sprayed the back of all the keys with a cooking spray oil LOL. Good to go!

Actually it would be misjudging your catch. Yes it would be devastating. This is why I want people to hang them on there wall as decoration instead of throwing it. Much safer that way.

A dungeon in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It's supposed to be the inside of a gigantic fish. That's where you get the boomerang in the game. In some places you have to hit his uvula with it so he'll open his mouth or whatnot :P

Most things come to me very fast. That was the first summer I had thrown boomerangs.

I caught on very quickly to what makes them fly and started making them myself.

I'm now making copper wire sculptures but will carve out a boomerang if requested.

Thanks bro- The best way to make this model is to try and copy and paste a photo of it from my web site. Blow up a few sections and print them out and piece them together. I don't have any type of plans for any of my booms. Just a blank to copy on the wood. Good luck!!

Call me Vic, I buy from a company called aircraft spruce. They are online. A 2x4 sheet runs about $40 including shipping. It is very strong. This is why I use it. Works great if you like to make big booms like me.
