While i absolutely LOVE this performance and love what John brings to the table as far as tone and his kickass solo, i think he took a song that was originally recorded as really chill and funky thanks to Hillel and made it this punchy song clearly played by a twenty something year old in his fist big band. They gained so much when they brought on Frusciante, but also lost a little bit of their sound.
