  • This right on the mark & wonderful music to boot ♥ ♥

  • Awesome video!

2:33 Take a right where the silver car is going and a few miles later you'll see some fake T.P's on the right side of the road.. turn into there and it'll take you up the hill by some indian mounds and there is some amazing views of the River and of the Bridge

  • The traffic lights in Wisconsin look goofy compared to the ones in Minnesota.

  • @dvferyance I've always thought those horizontal traffic lights looked goofy, too.

  • haha just this last Sunday I made the same trip!! but from Minneapolis oh is it me or is the lanes much narrower on 94 than most other roads? I was finding it difficult to maintain the center lane compaired to other roads maybe it was just the extra turns and not going that way in a long time (btw this was on my way THERE so no booze was present!)

  • lol that is a familiar rout

  • Man, I've been there. I lived in Chi-town nearly all of my life. Anyways, I would have to drive to Hammond or Gary to get my beer. Cause Illinois dont sell liquor until after 12pm on Sundays. Pissed me off too. UB

  • Nicely done! It's been a while since your last upload.

I don't drink, so it's never really bothered me that our liquor stores are closed on Sunday. Still, it is kinda dumb that hasn't been repealed by now -- your comment at 0:52 - 0:53 is probably dead-on. :-) (Even Rochester is only about an hour from WI or IA.)

  • Excellent job - great music. Loved seeing Hudson. My great-grandparents lived and were married there. Myself, I was born in beautiful downtown Chippewa Falls! Anyway, great job. I'm off to watch the rest of your videos!

  • @msfoz also my friend who married on the riverboat by Hudson Wisconsin back in 1997.

  • 2:42 cheers

  • that is really funny i bet Wisconsin loves that law lol

  • @2004JETTA We have to go there to get fireworks too so yeah. They bank off us.

  • @eluko79

    oh lord LMFAO

  • @eluko79 We bought fireworks from wi, then we ride to the MN with fireworks stuff long time ago. Good times.

  • Alright! Glad to see Hudson. Excellent video!

  • @FreewayTitan Amen!

  • Still can't buy beer or liquor here in Indiana on Sundays, Where I am at, You can cross one of the bridges into Kentucky to buy beer. But they don't open till noon or 1 PM. That is okay, I buy a 30 pack of Busch Light on Fridays anyway, so I am covered.

  • Hello Luke!!. Thanks for the nice trip, you get a big thumbs up... :-)

  • I really like the music. Who is this?

  • @Sevenntytwo Trampled by Turtles. A local bluegrass band from Duluth. The song is "Codeine". Check em out.

  • Can't buy beer Sunday! Wow... that's odd. We have a local law here in Cairns that doesn't allow sale of cask wine (4 litre wine in a box) before midday. Great video.

  • Very nice!! I was in Wisconsin a couple weeks ago near Milwaukee. Was doing some railfanning.

  • Connecticut has Blue laws too. We had to go to New York to get beer.

  • I don't drink and am religious but I consider blue laws to be among the dumbest thing there is. Here in Chattanooga for years stores could not open until noon which was a major annoyance. Once I was in loads of pain from a cough and needed some medicine and had to wait until noon for the drugstore to open.. Back in 2004 someone wanted to open a store on Sunday when he wanted and went on television and to the city council about it and it was a matter of weeks that they dropped it. Good riddance.

  • @19crash84 Yeah! Definitely a very old fashioned law.

  • @19crash84 Is alcohol and medicine sold at the same store? Our liquor stores ("bottleshops" and "drive-throughs") basically only sell alcohol, while Chemists and Pharmacies sell medicines, but no alcohol. Or have I mis-understood something?

  • Comment removed

  • @kevrosmith No. When I say no store could open until noon on Sunday because of the blue laws here I mean no store Grocery stores, pharmacies, department stores all could not open until noon. Even Wal-Mart would have to close at midnight on Sunday and could not reopen until noon. If you had an emergency you had to either wait until noon or go somewhere outside the city limits. About the only things that would be open would be restaurants and gas stations. Again this garbage ended in 2004.

  • Very nicely done video. I didn't know Miinysoda didn't allow beer sales on Sundays. That is pretty backwards of them. In Virginia even the ABC stores are open Sundays. Isn't Sunday something like football and racing days?

  • @vbdenny They are. A little store in Houlton near Stillwater often has lines going around the building before the football game begins.

  • @eluko79 We just got back from Blacksburg where we tailgated at the VT vs ECU game. Let's just say a LOT of aluminum was recycled in addition to 18 hot Italian sausages.

  • Yes! Been waiting for a new video from you, for quite some time now. LOL, I like the whole beer run theme; pretty unexpected. I started laughing when I heard the banjo's playing, since I was expecting some intense techno or trance music from you. Enjoying the new graphics that you've been inserting.

I wasn't aware that Minnesota did not allow alcohol sales on Sunday's.

That looks like a nice lil' downtown that Hudson, WI, has.

    Great video.

  • Ah yes, the "Sconie-Run." I've made that trip a time or two in my day. Another great vid. Take care.

  • I thought the laws in Minnesota now allowed alcohol to be purchased on Sundays after 12 PM?

  • The laws here in Indiana have changed over the years, The veterans posts, (American Legion, VFW) can now be open every Sunday. But the stupidest law I have seen here, New Years Day, go to a bar, drink all you want, but no to go sales

  • Nice! I live in Hudson

  • this is how fast i drive everyday

  • Haha thankfully Wisconsin is a close drive. I do this sometimes in Duluth and head over to Superior. Great video by the way!

  • haha , well you have no beer on Sunday , no stores are allowed to be open here

  • never had to do this...haha but nice ride

  • I have a suggestion... stock up on beer on Saturdays!

  • Nice job with this vid, Luke. I like the highway signage inserts.

Georgia's the same way: no liquor stores are open, but you can buy it bars and restaurants, I think. There's been consideration in changing the law, but not yet.

  • @Bryant5493 The only sales allowed on Sunday in GA are in restaurants that derive the majority of their revenue from food sales (think places like Applebees', Ruby Tuesday, etc..). Hence, if its a bar only they can't open on Sunday.

Abolishing the law comes up every now and then, but never goes anywhere.

  • @necroslair

Okay. Couldn't remember which. Thanks. I know Snellville's been going through ups and downs on that.

  • You have to wonder why they keep Blue Laws like that on the books. Kind of stupid. Anyway, nice to see you back with a video. Nice job!
