  • Thanks guys this really helped me sahave alot of time off my best lap time!!!!!!!!!

  • hangin' my arse and putting more pressure on the outside peg helped alot :) cheers, helped me knock 3.2 seconds off my tracks best time :)

  • Great job!

  • check out my vids i have one of me riding a pretty rutted track

  • It helped alot thanks

  • Good stuff... keep the instructional vids coming!

  • u forgot the most important tip slide ur ass all the way up to the gas tank and set ur self up then slowly contribute ur weight hold in the clutch half way and ride the rut

  • this really helped me .

  • 6 people cant ride a dirt bike lol

  • it seriously helped me

  • Thanks for the tip, was well conveyed (pause for image, speaking slowly, and explaining clearly) it'll work with some trails I ride on my 450x. I'm fairly new to serious dirt bikes.

  • Thanks for the tips the helped alot

  • look at the jump in the background at 1:10 i swear this guy is gonna fall off haha!!!

  • I tried some of these tips , the most helpful was the looking forward to the next obstacal to give you time to set up . That seemed to work well. I'm a 48 y/o rider and the person who left the lol I would just love to take them on with my old 1971 SL 125 rather than my 2005 crf230 just to give them a chance !

  • is that perris?

  • genrally when you know the basics the little things like shifting your weight and pressure on the outside peg comes naturally just like countersteering a road bike round a turn. i find its about everything you do before the corner so scrubbing the right amount of speed off also the stability of the bike and right gear and body position so when you enter the turn you have confidence and the time to do everything correctly. this is the way i approach riding on and off road. :) ride safe

  • im 13 years old i have a 1988 honda cr 80 and this video has helped me alot thanks

    :)

  • Will never work on a two stroke

  • @r0lexify it does all the time

  • @HKrider218 On a two stroker you have to take the turn wider and give it more torque

  • @r0lexify Nnnno u dont. ;)

  • Fank yew Video. Although i already knew all that. :P

  • @r0lexify Maybe on a 1960's 2T but i ride a 2010 KTm 150sx and i think you'll find that all the 2T bikes these days are alot more like the 4 bangers and heeps smoother.

  • @trucks911indahouse Well, maybe with an exhaust and stuff. But when you are riding a 2-stroker you need to to make it wider and give more gas than you do with and 4-stroker.

  • @trucks911indahouse what the hell!!!!!

  • what kind of to catch a predator shit is this

  • heeeeey im a 12 year old girl , i just strated riding in March 2010 :) i absoulutly LOVEE motorcrosss i just started jumping & tricks i go to local track near my city ; i really wish i started a little youngger but i love motocrossssss:)

  • i am 15 years old and i am a girl and I love motocross. I do not know which words to describe my feelings when I drive, but I know that this is the best thing that I do in my life. Unfortunately, I drive only 3 months.

its never too late to start, but once you start you can not stop! : D

  • yes this has helped me and i have improved on cornering

  • it didnt help shit i broke my damn leg

  • @MrKawkslap well u probably did it wrong

  • @MrKawkslap learn to ride then

  • I love riding! It's the greatest thing i have ever done! I have been riding since I was 5, and this proved really helpful as I always struggle on rutted corners. I am so glad my dad introduced me when I was younger. I cant imagine wat it would be like if he didn't bring me into motocross. Thanks for the vid!

  • Thank you for the video(: Im also 14 year old chick and im getting ready for my first race coming up soon and my older brother always warned me about turns like this. we got a track in the back but its always different when your with 25 other people at the gate. But i so agree with FromHeaventoYou96. Get into motorcross if you can ive been doing it for 10 years and i love every bit of it. Plus if your a chick guys find it attractive which aint always the worst thing lol(:

  • @OMGitsDANJA the whole thing about guys finding it attractive when girls ride to is 110% true. theres nothing better than a girl who can ride a dirtbike and still look good afterwards(even if they have a dirt mustache) and if you can out ride us men, we may get mad at times, but we love that too =P

  • @twag0735 Hahahaha right? Lol...yeah guys do love it. hahaha

  • @OMGitsDANJA haha its just like when girls drive jeeps, theres just something about it that suddenly makes them seem hotter in our minds. its just how the universe works i guess haha

  • im a novice racer in district 38 and i really need help on cornering, espically the right handed corners. I thought that this video was very helpful.

  • Thanks helped

  • I break corners up into three pieces, going in, going around, and coming out. Mess up the first part the rest is lost too. Going in is under braking, the middle is usually a steady state maintain top speed possible, then coming out and dialing up the power and gettin it hooked. If not for corners why race?

  • look at the bike after him at 1:10 he do really need some tips.. ;p

  • Def ganna, try this next time on the track

  • And for the two-strokers, apply more gas

  • @r0lexify And take it wider

  • @jwctex14 ye

  • thx man on my first race i got 4th place out of 45 riders btw im on a rm65 thx

  • it helped me alot

  • This helped me a lot. I keep sliding when i exited the turn.

  • it helped me

  • thanx briliant tip

  • Sir, How you handle the throttle / Clutch and Brakes.. when you turn.. thankx

  • i ride a yzf R6 and this didnt help a bit, i alays fall down?

  • @shawn99r6 thats because this is for motocross, not street bikes

  • hey there i try out your tips and my lap time is better now before it was 1:56 now its 1:32 and it is only because of your tips.

  • Yeah helped a lot.

  • :-)

  • @youritoepoel Nice man :) and thanks for telling me :) Good luck to you man :)

  • very helpful, they should address shifting, around 0:45 you notice his left foot moving, maybe thats just the set up, but if he was shifting what was he doing ya know otherwise this was informative

  • hi i will be 16 soon and is that to old to start with it or do you guys think it will work?

  • @Augustwow thats to old you need to start in like 4 to 7

  • @THEFASTBEAST Oh damn... :( oh well i can still try :)

  • @Augustwow its not too old man i started at 15 and i am a B rider already and just turned 17 two days ago its depends on how serious you are into this sport if you wanna be fast and you got the guts to do it you can start whenever.. most important thing to do is have fun.. start slow but worlk you way up quick and you wont have a problem.. check my channel out for some of the vids of me riding.

  • Im in my 50s and just got back into racing after wife asked me to stop when a friend of ours Danny Hammel crashed in baja. Well She's gone now and im racing again. Thanks for the tips they really helped me get back out there and have fun again.

  • well spoken, good job helped alot

  • IM 12 and am going to race in New England motocross series and this will help a bunch thanks!!

  • I'm 21. Is it too late to start

  • @halfstepdown88 atleast try man

  • @halfstepdown88 Its not the best time but still is fine cause if your racing most of the time theirs a vet. class which lets you race in a older group, although you still have a while until the vet. class

  • very useful!!!

  • my sex life improved dramatically after watching this. I highly recommend it.

  • Thankz i was half decent at turns then i watched this and now i know what to work on to make it better

  • very helpful and clear! Thanks! :D

  • this helped to the piont that i consider it on the track

  • Thanks man this really helped me out.

  • haha at 1:10 the guy in the background has some boner air going on

  • thanks that helped alot i wasnt quite sure before

  • no i am not riding to fucking peewee

  • it help me now my lap time is 48.93

  • @shooterdog16 lol what are u riding the peewee track?

  • good video thanks , most people like myself used to tend to worry about where there front wheel is in the rut. now i look ahead an power on ... you cant go wrong

  • Not enough info for a new rider, as they think they are god and want to go fast without even taking this informaion in. More depth with information, this should be atleast a 5-7 minutes video.

I myself started at 15 on a raptor 80, then baught a cheap Atomik 250 and within 4 months from starting got on a rm 85. I have been racing ever since, the more information about one topic, the better.

  • The BEST tip and advice I have gotten from this video is, "Look ahead at where you want to go." Helped me alot.

    Thanks!

  • stand up until the rut turns your front tire and nut sack to gas cap,,just some simple tips that our easy to remember that have helped me out alot

  • thanks for the tips by the way do you now were sand hill ranch is in brentwood

  • funny crap in the background

  • thnx it helped me a lot xD

  • lol 1:10 someone pulls a major boner air in the background

  • @Isacco1997 obviously yes, because if not the bike would shut down; turn off. ;)

    Have Fun! :D

  • this vidieo helped me alot and evry thing he sed i tryed and i worked

  • HONDA

  • he never said about sitting more closer to the gas tank it gives u more balance while turning but whatever feels more comfortable and u get the most speed i like to hit the back break and slide into my rut while going into a turn cuse ur on the gas longer, right as i hit the rut or turn i hit it and come out of it very fast it might not be smooth but it is very fast

  • it helped me

  • I am 14 years old and im a girl. Ive been riding motocross for about a year and a half now. Me and my lil bro ride around on my property all the time and we have jumps made up the back for us. It reallly is fun and if you're thinking about doing it, I highly reccomened it. Im sure alot of people can agree with me, it's awsome fun, and it feels like for once you're in control of something. (:

  • @FromHeavenToYou96

    would you marry me?

  • @frix199 your 29 weird fuck!

  • @Jaellzminecraft

im not, i just put it back then when i was underage so i could watch flagged videos.

  • @frix199 whatd they say that made u say that? i cant find the comment

  • @FromHeavenToYou96 im 14 too wanna date?

  • I sooooo agree with you miss!

  • @FromHeavenToYou96 FB me ASAP! XD

  • @FromHeavenToYou96 guys find it attractive when girls ride to. theres nothing better than a girl who can ride a dirtbike and still look good afterwards(even if they have a dirt mustache) and if you can out ride us men, we may get mad at times, but we love that too =P but to me there is nothing better than hopping in your truck, loading up 2 bikes, and seeing your girl in the passenger seat struggle to get her riding socks on. stick with it and enjoy life

  • @FromHeavenToYou96 Im a girl and i ride too. Im 16, and i been ridin since i was about 6yrs old =) Just to let everyone know, girls can ride just as good as guys, so dont say we cant! But, it is a really fun sport and i wish more girls would get into it. btw what kinda bike do you have?

  • Comment removed

  • @axstaah lol =)

  • @FromHeavenToYou96 marry me please Lol

  • @FromHeavenToYou96 whats your name, im 15 been riding freestyle for 4 years, hit me up on FB we can ride sometime

  • this has made my lap times so mutch faster tanks

  • the video is it gave me some ideas and it help me good now im getting faster

  • I have two little edits to what was said..

Engine braking. Can't do it on a two stroke.

Rolling on the throttle. Not as easy with a two stroke. They are more snap and you're going than four strokes.

But this is a very informative video overall, that's for sure. I'll have to try this out a little next time I'm at a track.

  • fuck im going to that site then nice vid helped even me

  • i started riding at 12 and now im 14 and im already faster than most the guys that started as infants at the rate im going i will definetly be pro by 18 oh and must correct video how he said use front and rear brakes to stop and for further braking ose the compression well 2-strokes really dont have compression braking i would be a little more specific

  • @bruiserbrown9258 BS a two stroke doesnt have engine brake. Just go from 6 to first and tell me it doesnt slow you down.

  • @d1incharge also have him tell you the engine doesn't blow up :D

  • @cody7445 I keep trying, but can't get mine to blow up for the life of me :)

  • Excellent! Very good tips and useful information. Keep 'em coming.

  • what type of motar mud machines are theese named

  • This has helped soo much it was the difference between 4th and 2nf for me thanks alot

  • Wow I've been riding for a long time and never new like half of tht lol

  • this helped a lot and im 13 btw and its helped my lap times

  • i dont get it

  • WORKED GREAT... NOW SHOW ME HOW TO JUMP

  • i really want to start racing. i go to the track every chance i get. i ride an rm 125. any body have some tips on getting started? im 16 btw. oh and great vid!

  • 01:11 lulz at the guy in the background :P very useful though thanks

  • I really never used my brake I would maybe coast into the corner or down shift a gear if I'm going to fast. Maybe use the back brake before the turn then roll the throttle through the corner. Good vid though

  • heyy this looks good i will try this next time i ride thx a lot and i will comment after i try to =)

  • pretty good but dont get the part for using both brakes

i dont think u need ur front brake

  • @figueroaedgar15 you use your front and rear bcz i will slow you down faster if you use your just the front or rear you will have to brake sooner and lose speed or you will lock it up going into a turn

  • do u pop the clutch or just stay smoth...on major i have is were i sit when i turn and wheere i sit when i jump

  • great tips!

  • never thought about putting mu but on the outside of the seat helpss

  • helped me a lot

  • thanks alot guys got the hangf of it now :)

  • this helped me out so much today at lazy river mx it helped me get through turns so much faster and on down the track won both motos thanks for you tips hopefully i will do good in the llq in may thanks for everything

  • ya but you might want to mention that if you are on a 2 stroke you can come threw a turn better by shifting up a gear, and leaving at least one finger on the clutch. this will help control your speed threw the turn.

  • it helped me out alot

  • great tips!!!!!! ill make sure to try them and they make perfect sense now that i think of it~~!

  • hahaha 1:10 in the background that guy looks like he is about to eat shit hitting that jump nose high

  • @vanoot34 haha yeah, total Caesar's Palace style.

  • @jigmesam "Caesar's Palace style" lmao. Never heard that one before, but ill remember that ;)

  • @vanoot34 hehe yeah. the Evel Knevel fail =)

  • very good instruction helped out alot!!!

  • great instructions thank you!

  • great instructions thank you!

  • what if ur on a 2-stroke it doesnt have engine breaking as much as a four

  • @dpowell0320 then hit the corner too fast, and crash. Simple, no?

  • Excellent instruction. Everything I'd been telling my son but he doesn't listen. Hopefully he'll listen to you.

  • this helped me alot and now im rippin by the people that should watch this haha

  • 14 is definitely not to late to start. It's all about the fun.

The only thing I didn't hear them cover is to keep you head foward (able to see the front plate) and to slide back on the seat when exiting the turn to gain more traction.

  • ruts you don't wanna be at the front too much cause ur front wheel can dig in

  • @nobbies2009 hope 16 aint=/ i just start mx

  • @rider412719 seth enslow didnt star riding until he was 16. its not too late at all.

  • @nobbies2009 He mentioned that at 35 seconds

  • @nobbies2009

in rutted turns you don't have to keep your head forward, you should stay neutral (r something like that), you get more traction then

  • that helped me

  • i started at 16 you just need to do lots of research like these videos and go at it all the time look up "transworld skills 3" and buy it it helps the most i found that if you just go at a speed outside your comfort zone it becomes natural and after a while youl feel more natural at speed than standstill if you start now by the time your 16 youl be nice and fast

  • tihs video helped alto on my turns , every time turn i sue to slide, but i can turn better casue of this video

  • Hey jus so ya know, that breaking thing wont do u any good on the right turns. u can only use ur front break lever

  • i did that and broke my leg

  • thanks man I ride a 03 xr100r and I tried to turn like that and it works better for me

  • man this looks sooo fun i really want t do it. ive loved this stuff since i can remember. but with all the stuff you need to buy like how the leatt brace is like 300 dollars i don't think i can. my parents are not really liking all the money put into this with the bike and all that. ugh i guess i can't ill have to save like 2 years of christmas money just to afford a leatt brace.

  • you dont have to get the leatte brace. ya it ads a lot of safety to the sport but if you are just beginning you wont be going fast enough to really need one

  • im a girl and i want to start im 14 but it looks really hard...

  • jus practice and keep at it when u fall get back up i ride motocross and do freestyle to so understand when i say this if u get hurt as soon as ur better get back on and take it slow at first then gradually speed back up ,but dont just give up if u get hurt or u will be scared to get back on a bike

  • of course its hard. but especialy when u get better its a blast. iv been riding since i was 8 (im a dude and im 14) and iv always loved it.

  • but, tou can't lern if you don't try it? ;)

  • i always forget to keep my eyes up when im riding and sometimes i miss lines because im not seeing the whole track. oh and its spelled sponsored haha you guys werent even close

  • hav to try it thanks

  • good stuff. thanks

  • This was an informational video despite all these asshole "RACERS." Learn some theory, forget some ego...

  • ive raced for 7 years i just give it gas and if i need to slow down i down shift

  • it didnt help but i was sponcerd 4 times and im 13 i do the same thing but i dont brake and i dont go slow

  • iv been sponserd to on my suzuki 65 and 85 dont bother looking at my vids those are old

  • thank you

  • look the guy at the jump behind him at 1:10 - thats going wrong :O !! xD

  • lol well spotted hes bloody flying lol gunna come down with a smash

  • very nice and simple.. I was watching the video mainly for proper braking and weight placement.. and all my questions were answered.. thanks guys!
