@Zorron93 Yes, I believe in those days it was a Tone Zone in the bridge and a PAF Pro in the neck... I belieive this to be true as I was a huge Paul Gilbert follower during those days and put the same pickup combination in one of my guitars at the time after reading an interview. Paul was also featured in the Dimarzio catalog.

its a variable speed electric drill, you hold it close to the pickups and it make sthat sound. Yoiu can vary the pitch depending on how fast the drill motor spins. EVH was the first one to do this on their 1991 album... although Eddie used the effect to try and copy the sound of an electric cake mixer... do a youtube search for "van halen poundcake".

Tinnitus is a real fucking nightmare when you first get it. I've had it for several years now and you get use to it. If you ever start getting a ringing in you ear from to much loud noises don't ignore it as I did. Take a few days away from any loud music to see if it disappears. It's a gradual thing that creeps up on you. The more you ignore it the worse and permenant it will becomes.
