@andersonrocha I just looked at a new 2009 FZ6 today, and it has a small windscreen, about 9" wide and 1 foot tall, More V-shaped. I like the one in this video better. I am sure, There must be aftermarket windscreens, That are bigger. Thank's, yl

Great bike, I have older: Yamaha FZS 600S from 2003 -modern version after lifting with better lights and fuel tank (looks like as FZS 1000) and I can ride 240 km/h. I have MICRON CARBON exhaust and K&S air filter.

I agree the Yamaha Naked bikes are the best.

@danthemanzizzle - Man, must have something wrong with your bike. Or its fuel. Or you're riding at high altitude, I don't know... My FZ6 just has the Two Brothers Exhaust, and the result is in the video.

@andersonrocha I agree something must be wrong with that bike? I use regular fuel and completely standard (besides K&N airfilter which doesn't really add anything else than killing most of the whining from the airbox) - I have done 243 which I believe is also official high speed for this bike?

I have seen 243 km/h on my display a few times with the 2004/05 edition. No mods that could improve speed at all. Actually I have a Stebel Truck Horn right under the nose = not exactly a topspeed mod!... So why not the extra 10 km/h with for instance a rider who is lighter and smaller than my 182cm/77kg?

Have also done 220 km/h with a passenger + 2x 40 Liter hardcase bags on the sides. Danish terrain is constantly slighty downhill/uphill = little affect on topspeed.

@mminholi I think you should study the machine before saying that...I have a blue fz6s, exactly like the other one in this video and I easily reach 247 km/h. I think he reached 253km/h because he were in the other vacuum...I`ve seen a video of a Colombian FZ6s at 265km/h behind a CBR 600

@jossanova2 - Só tenho o escape e 23 mil km rodados, o resto é original (catalisador, filtro, vela etc). Dicas: lave a corrente e lubrifique apenas com Motul de competição: dá entre 0,5 e 1 hp a mais. Use gasolina Podium, dá mais uns 2 hp. O escape dá mais uns 4 hp. Eu peso 70kg e deito atrás da bolha. O resultado está no vídeo. A FZ6 corta em 262km/h em 6ª marcha, veja vídeos em "FZ6 Dinamômetro".

@bluefz6s - Qualquer Fazer 600 anda muito, amigo. É veneno de fábrica.... Essa outra é 100% original, não trocou nem o escapamento. A minha anda ligeiramente mais porque tem o escape (dá uns 2 ou 3 cv a mais) e porque eu sou muito mais leve do que meu colega. Mas se ele acelerar primeiro, é muito difícil buscar, precisa de uma reta bem longa. Abs.

Parabéns pelo vídeo. Também sou um feliz proprietário de uma FZ6 S azul (da cor da R1). Esta moto é show, muito gostosa de pilotar. Sua tocada é fortíssima, muito cuidado andando assim com transito movimentado. Você além de trocar o escapamento, modificou o sitema de injecao eletronica ou filtro de ar? Parabéns , sua moto está andando muito...mate de inveja os donos da Honda Hornet......
