Very impressive, BUT, even here they WILL bust you, he (the cop) was probably too busy getting home after a long shift and didn't want the extra paper work.
@kippers1970 sorry pal but your wrong, thats nothing out of the ordinary in the isle of man we go every year for the tt, the rider did a safe overtake, it was on a straight and nothing was coming
@AModernTale , Yes, it's great when you have only six cars in front, all doing 30-38 mph in an unrestricted zone and you are (driving to work) and not on your Fireblade. Shame that the "blue-rinses" don't know that you can safely drive pretty much anywhere at 50.
@95scrambler there are no speed limits out of the villages in the ilse of Man, what he did was legal, the only reason the police didn't do it was because they were is a galaxy and not a faster car!
@emtildeath Couldn't agree more, end of the day your legally allowed to go over the speed limit on an overtake to get round the vehicle your overtaking anyway :)
is that not a contradiction "safely" and "overtaking at 100"? It may legal but it is dumb, especially ending up dead or eating baby food in a wheelchair.

@skvakagud No, you just stay out of the way, that's all. And you obey any signals they give, e.g. the "pull over" hand gesture. Hanging back is only polite, but there's no requirement to do so.
The thing is, on the mainland, usually when they've got blues & twos on, they're already in excess of the limit... Somewhat like the ambulance I stayed a respectful distance behind when both of us were caning it up the A34 at 11pm on the bank hol somewhat above 70...
@TahreyUK Oh really o: Damn.. Im from Denmark, and im 99.99% sure that you would get a major fine. But, I guess cars/bikes overtaking emergency viechles isnt a stress factor for emergency viechles in the UK. :p I can see theres no danger in it on an empty highway or a clear country road like that. But I'm still surprised its not outlawed.
@mazro1861 ah yeah. But that wasnt what I was on about. :) What I was talking about, was wheither if it was legal or not to overtake an emergency viechle with full bells on. :) No matter how fast you were doing it. Due to say ambulance rides that has to be done very careful and slow, because of the patients condition. Just an example. :)
@skvakagud well i suppose you are right, but only in a place with no speed limit! Where would you normally find an emergency vehicle with sirens on that is going slower than the speed limit? So no, it is not illegal to overtake emergency vehicle, but very rare you can do it without getting arrested!!
@mazro1861 yeah thats true. :) Tho im preeetty sure its illegal in my country. Firetrucks or whatever accelerating after a corner fx. Can easily be taken over. And also i've seen alot of ambulance rides, that the were operating in during the ride to the hospital. They always have police escort but still. The whole points of sirens goes away if you arent supposed to stay out of there way in all ways possible. :) In my country its even illegal to tail emergency viechles so.
Oii Guys? does this police car go after this guy then? I am confused he is speeding by like a mile or what im confused explain what happened plzz :S:S:S:S:
@ukzDriftzz well all i know is that in some parts of the isle of man there isn't any speed limits, i think there are some in towns but outside of them none apply.
@ukzDriftzz The Isle of man have a 'Mountian Mile' a Section of the island which is 'Un-restricted' you can hit whatever speeds you feel like, but soon as you hit the end of the mountian it's back to the speed limit but then 36miles back around you get to do it again. They would not have chased him he did nothing wrong as it's a 'Un-restricted' peice of road you are can overtake anything which is going slower than you or obstructing your way of progress. By the look of it the police moved over.
@ukzDriftzz That stretch of road (Between St.John's and Peel, Isle of Man) Has a national speed limit (70mph in the UK, infinite Mph on the isle of man) This means the police can't do anything unless you're driving like a cock and they can pull you for dangerous driving. It was a textbook overtake though so he was fine.
60mph on that class of road on the mainland, mate. Or 50 if you're in a van or towing. Learn it before you get nabbed... ;)
And I'm with you on this - if the police bothered the rider for this at all I'd be much surprised. He hung back, waited for a safe place, carried out the manouevre in a quick and careful manner, then settled back to a safe and comfortable cruising speed (90-95 counts on one of them doesn't it?) that just happened to be higher than that of their car.
@ukzDriftzz this is a video of a biker driving on isle of man. Overtaking a police car ALREADY on a call. ( going to a place. ) the thing about isle of man is, that there is no speed limits outside of the city. And therefor he can overtake the police car. As fast as he wants, as long as its safe. And given the fact that he is gonna drive faster then they are. He wont be in their way. And as I was told. There is no law against overtaking emergency viechles there. So. its just an overtaking. =)
@DjMadscientist If you clicked too quickly, before the sponsored link had loaded, you may have hit a different link to what you thought you were aiming for when the whole lot suddenly jumped down the page
@liamcollister So what colours would an ambulance (or ambulance-car) be? I was given to understand that they had similar / the same colours as each other.
However it DOES say "police" on the back of it, kinda hard to miss, and if we presume the rider uploaded this themselves, we should trust them to know what they sat behind for half a mile then overtook...
I wonder if there are many accidents there?I cant see its a bad thing, i understand 30mph around schools n stuff but u shud at least be free to use the power u paid 4 on motorways, its hardly as if sum1s gonna step off the pavement........
@saucypup76 I doubt it, I'm sure they're used to the speed and the roads so they know their limits. Would be nice to have that here.. N.I has great roads..
@KingScottProductions Yeah, they are really lucky, i wasnt aware, ithought just germany had no limits and maybe few other poorer places.speeed limits are ridiculous,no body abides by them even sensible do gooder types they just incriminate innocent drivers/bikers.
the film may be a bit slow but the fact remains that it is within the law on the IOM that you can ride at an umlimited speed as long as it is done safely. That can be at 60, 70 or 150mph. There are areas that are restricted and some that are not.
@Incarnuus He doesn't state whether its 100 Mph or 100 Kph,though it'd obvious it's Kph as he's not moving fast enough. Also you can just make out the Kph on the clocks.Another import bike from japan?Did you know the used cars and bikes shipped to the UK and sold as imports here are exported from Japan because they have failed Japans very tight emissions tests.A vehicles engine over there after 3 years/60K miles is too worn to pass their test limits. The UK test limits are so high they never fail.
@silver760 It's quite plainly "nearly 100" MPH... "nearly 100km/h" would be nothing special, and (up to 97k) legal in the UK anyway, unworthy of mention in the video description. Police cars wouldn't dawdle along at 75-80k (47-50m) on an open "60" road like that.
If you think the scenery's moving by at <100km/h, you may want to double check what settings YOUR digital speedo is showing, or if you're reading the right numbers on your analogue one.
@clickhear08 Don't think it's in pursuit ... pursuit of what? (nothing in front) ... with no flashing lights, at a steady-ish 75~80mph? Might be headed to a reported burglary or something but otherwise probably just cruisin'. Those Galaxies are big cars but I bet a Man police-spec one can properly shift when they want it to.
I've felt suitably bawse on overtaking a police car at 60.0 in Britain after they started toying with me a bit... slowing to 40 then accelerating to 55ish as I came past...
yeahh dude your probs right :) buh still.. it is kinda boss :D
police-spec usually means much slower than the standard car :/ much heavier due to all the equiptment etc.. and theres no engine mods done to the cars (people seem to think there chipped etc) there not in wales anyway, not sure about anywhere else aha..
Omg u all are fucking pathetic..... Toby. All the video is... An r1 passing a cop. It's just a boring video. It would of been better if right as he was side by side to the cop he punched the window out or something.
@caseyryeback1913 So he could be absolutely sure it was safe to pass? It's not exactly a dead straight road, and evidently the rider doesn't feel like gunning it, just wants to make quick smooth progress. Probably could have got by a lot quicker and sooner in safety by dropping a gear and squirting past at 120+ ... but why bother when you can wait 10 seconds and do it with certainty whilst still in top?
@aliasify wow kid do I really have to explain this to you??? Well considering the fact that your a complete retard... Here I go!!!
All the fucker does is ride behind a cop, then passes him... Therefor, it's a fucking stupid, lame, boring thing to watch... Such as yourself. So go take your pathetic " your a tool " slanders somewhere else loser.
@Knot2shaby Wow, do you have to work at being an abuse dickhead, or were you born that way?
The "unique" thing of this video is passing out a cop car (itself doing almost 80mph), at nearly 100mph, on a 2-way road, legally and without them flipping on the flashing lights to give chase.
The speed, the setting, and the legality are the main things, not "a bike passing a cop". If it had happened at half the speed on a 60mph limit road, THEN it'd be a pointless video...
Roosi. Isle of Man. Not Germany. Get a map or Google it. How can it be on the wrong side? You suggesting everyone in the video, even the police, are driving on the wrong side to begin with? Or are you suggesting the bike should take its chances with the hedge by going round the inside? You're either really stupid or very American.
@MrRuss25 well thats why Im asking. yes I know that but how should I know from this that this is from that kind of contry?! and that road does not really look like it that it would be allowed to drive 400+ kmh on it. where it even is no body doesnt seems to know that.
@roossi Who's driving 400km/h? In this video no-one even goes much over 150 for more than a second or two. "No upper speed limit" still doesn't mean it's legal to drive dangerously, stupidly fast. You are still required to keep control of your vehicle, not go so fast that you can't stop within the distance you can see to be clear, etc. This applies on all roads anyway; "safe" speed could be 5, 50 or 500km/h depending on conditions. Manx government just hasn't put an ARTIFICIAL limit in place.
@MrRuss25 well no way really it is not in germany ? I know its not in germany I just compared the road to german autobahn cos there is no speed limits too. and how the fuck I can google anything if I dont know what to google? no Im suggesting that police is already driving on the over take lain cos hes driving fastest around there so why would he change back to normal lain. and I think that u are much much more closer to american than me. after all u use same money and all :D :D
@roossi Use the same money? What? I haven't even said where I'm from. Don't know what to Google? Try Isle of Man - the clue is in the fucking great title. You even see the Police van overtake a slower car then move back over to the left. You also see oncoming traffic (it's a one lane each way road). Further - you see painted road signs positioned to be read by cars driving on the left. Have you even watched this video?
@MrRuss25 well it says in your channel that u r from australia + u have flying video from australia so I think u r propably from australia. And Australia uses australian dollars, right? so u r money is called dollar like in US. maybe I will google it.. yes I watched it ones quickly, wasnt really what I was looking for... but no I cannot remember all the details
@roossi You could start by paying attention to the video title & descriptive text underneath, signs being in english, and how the police themselves moved right to overtake (& back left). Except for some more backward parts of the US, and more chaotic parts of India, the usual custom on the world's multilane roads is to stick in the slow lane unless to pass slower traffic. Cops would know this.
Except that doesn't even apply as it's an obvious 2-way.
@PMan786 ok ? so what the fuck is that then ? and where ? like german auto bahn? and that still doesn´t take away that fact that it´s from wrong side...
@PMan786 and again u r british ?! how can u even try to diss some one as american ? u british r like the same. I dont even need to explain it to cos u know it all ready :D:D:D
@roossi Of course, where else would we be driving on the correct side of the road (that is the left btw). Are you deliberately ignoring the rest of my comment or did you realise how silly you sounded earlier?
Yes I do know it all already. I (and other road users) would be worried if I didn't know which side of road to drive on or whether overtaking is illegal especially since I've held my driving license for a considerable amount of time.
@PMan786 nono im not ignoring anything, im jus bit confused of all comments from different people. but everything is clear all ready, its island nera GB with no speed limit and with left hand side traffic. but I really didnt get what u meant by no speed limits to private vehicles so what vehicles then have speed limits?
lovely, isle of man is the place to be, biker heaven!

skvakagud 3 months ago
@skvakagud well i suppose you are right, but only in a place with no speed limit! Where would you normally find an emergency vehicle with sirens on that is going slower than the speed limit? So no, it is not illegal to overtake emergency vehicle, but very rare you can do it without getting arrested!!
mazro1861 3 months ago
@mazro1861 yeah thats true. :) Tho im preeetty sure its illegal in my country. Firetrucks or whatever accelerating after a corner fx. Can easily be taken over. And also i've seen alot of ambulance rides, that the were operating in during the ride to the hospital. They always have police escort but still. The whole points of sirens goes away if you arent supposed to stay out of there way in all ways possible. :) In my country its even illegal to tail emergency viechles so.

ukzDriftzz 6 months ago
@ukzDriftzz well all i know is that in some parts of the isle of man there isn't any speed limits, i think there are some in towns but outside of them none apply.
UBSWRecords 6 months ago
@ukzDriftzz The Isle of man have a 'Mountian Mile' a Section of the island which is 'Un-restricted' you can hit whatever speeds you feel like, but soon as you hit the end of the mountian it's back to the speed limit but then 36miles back around you get to do it again. They would not have chased him he did nothing wrong as it's a 'Un-restricted' peice of road you are can overtake anything which is going slower than you or obstructing your way of progress. By the look of it the police moved over.
AZZ3R1 5 months ago
@ukzDriftzz That stretch of road (Between St.John's and Peel, Isle of Man) Has a national speed limit (70mph in the UK, infinite Mph on the isle of man) This means the police can't do anything unless you're driving like a cock and they can pull you for dangerous driving. It was a textbook overtake though so he was fine.
liamcollister 5 months ago
@liamcollister

@TahreyUK --- Captcha for that comment: "copparking". Indeed.
TahreyUK 4 months ago
@ukzDriftzz this is a video of a biker driving on isle of man. Overtaking a police car ALREADY on a call. ( going to a place. ) the thing about isle of man is, that there is no speed limits outside of the city. And therefor he can overtake the police car. As fast as he wants, as long as its safe. And given the fact that he is gonna drive faster then they are. He wont be in their way. And as I was told. There is no law against overtaking emergency viechles there. So. its just an overtaking. =)

@saucypup76 There are a few but mainly from rider's that come from the UK and dont know their limit's.
THEMATTBUXTON 6 months ago
the film may be a bit slow but the fact remains that it is within the law on the IOM that you can ride at an umlimited speed as long as it is done safely. That can be at 60, 70 or 150mph. There are areas that are restricted and some that are not.

its fucking Kmh not mph ... 100 kmh is only 60 mph as the slow movement in the film helps show
Incarnuus 6 months ago
@Incarnuus He doesn't state whether its 100 Mph or 100 Kph,though it'd obvious it's Kph as he's not moving fast enough. Also you can just make out the Kph on the clocks.Another import bike from japan?Did you know the used cars and bikes shipped to the UK and sold as imports here are exported from Japan because they have failed Japans very tight emissions tests.A vehicles engine over there after 3 years/60K miles is too worn to pass their test limits. The UK test limits are so high they never fail.

@silver760
HAHAHAHA.Folk like you make me laugh.Thank you :)
PopulationcontrolNow 6 months ago
@silver760 It's quite plainly "nearly 100" MPH... "nearly 100km/h" would be nothing special, and (up to 97k) legal in the UK anyway, unworthy of mention in the video description. Police cars wouldn't dawdle along at 75-80k (47-50m) on an open "60" road like that.
If you think the scenery's moving by at <100km/h, you may want to double check what settings YOUR digital speedo is showing, or if you're reading the right numbers on your analogue one.
PS the "clocks" you can see here = rev counter!

clickhear08 7 months ago 66
@clickhear08 I guess. But it's a fucking minivan.
WhatsworsethanVEVO 7 months ago
@clickhear08 Don't think it's in pursuit ... pursuit of what? (nothing in front) ... with no flashing lights, at a steady-ish 75~80mph? Might be headed to a reported burglary or something but otherwise probably just cruisin'. Those Galaxies are big cars but I bet a Man police-spec one can properly shift when they want it to.
I've felt suitably bawse on overtaking a police car at 60.0 in Britain after they started toying with me a bit... slowing to 40 then accelerating to 55ish as I came past...
TahreyUK 4 months ago
@TahreyUK
yeahh dude your probs right :) buh still.. it is kinda boss :D
police-spec usually means much slower than the standard car :/ much heavier due to all the equiptment etc.. and theres no engine mods done to the cars (people seem to think there chipped etc) there not in wales anyway, not sure about anywhere else aha..
all part of the fun thoo eh :D

caseyryeback1913 7 months ago in playlist skyline vs bugatti veyron
@caseyryeback1913 So he could be absolutely sure it was safe to pass? It's not exactly a dead straight road, and evidently the rider doesn't feel like gunning it, just wants to make quick smooth progress. Probably could have got by a lot quicker and sooner in safety by dropping a gear and squirting past at 120+ ... but why bother when you can wait 10 seconds and do it with certainty whilst still in top?
TahreyUK 4 months ago
@aliasify wow kid do I really have to explain this to you??? Well considering the fact that your a complete retard... Here I go!!!
All the fucker does is ride behind a cop, then passes him... Therefor, it's a fucking stupid, lame, boring thing to watch... Such as yourself. So go take your pathetic " your a tool " slanders somewhere else loser.
Knot2shaby 7 months ago

MrRuss25 8 months ago
@MrRuss25 well thats why Im asking. yes I know that but how should I know from this that this is from that kind of contry?! and that road does not really look like it that it would be allowed to drive 400+ kmh on it. where it even is no body doesnt seems to know that.
roossi 8 months ago
@roossi Who's driving 400km/h? In this video no-one even goes much over 150 for more than a second or two. "No upper speed limit" still doesn't mean it's legal to drive dangerously, stupidly fast. You are still required to keep control of your vehicle, not go so fast that you can't stop within the distance you can see to be clear, etc. This applies on all roads anyway; "safe" speed could be 5, 50 or 500km/h depending on conditions. Manx government just hasn't put an ARTIFICIAL limit in place.
TahreyUK 4 months ago
@MrRuss25 well no way really it is not in germany ? I know its not in germany I just compared the road to german autobahn cos there is no speed limits too. and how the fuck I can google anything if I dont know what to google? no Im suggesting that police is already driving on the over take lain cos hes driving fastest around there so why would he change back to normal lain. and I think that u are much much more closer to american than me. after all u use same money and all :D :D
roossi 8 months ago
@roossi Use the same money? What? I haven't even said where I'm from. Don't know what to Google? Try Isle of Man - the clue is in the fucking great title. You even see the Police van overtake a slower car then move back over to the left. You also see oncoming traffic (it's a one lane each way road). Further - you see painted road signs positioned to be read by cars driving on the left. Have you even watched this video?
MrRuss25 8 months ago
@MrRuss25 well it says in your channel that u r from australia + u have flying video from australia so I think u r propably from australia. And Australia uses australian dollars, right? so u r money is called dollar like in US. maybe I will google it.. yes I watched it ones quickly, wasnt really what I was looking for... but no I cannot remember all the details
roossi 7 months ago
@roossi You could start by paying attention to the video title & descriptive text underneath, signs being in english, and how the police themselves moved right to overtake (& back left). Except for some more backward parts of the US, and more chaotic parts of India, the usual custom on the world's multilane roads is to stick in the slow lane unless to pass slower traffic. Cops would know this.
Except that doesn't even apply as it's an obvious 2-way.
A LOT of the world drives on the left, btw.
TahreyUK 4 months ago
wtf how could that be legal u idiot? u overtake from wrong side and with big big over speed?!?!

roossi 8 months ago
@roossi LOL are you serious? What is so illegal about overtaking? Isle of Man is small island between Britain and Ireland.
Wrong side? What are you American? Don't be so ignorant.
PMan786 8 months ago
@PMan786 and again u r british ?! how can u even try to diss some one as american ? u british r like the same. I dont even need to explain it to cos u know it all ready :D:D:D
roossi 8 months ago
@roossi Of course, where else would we be driving on the correct side of the road (that is the left btw). Are you deliberately ignoring the rest of my comment or did you realise how silly you sounded earlier?
Yes I do know it all already. I (and other road users) would be worried if I didn't know which side of road to drive on or whether overtaking is illegal especially since I've held my driving license for a considerable amount of time.
PMan786 7 months ago
@PMan786 nono im not ignoring anything, im jus bit confused of all comments from different people. but everything is clear all ready, its island nera GB with no speed limit and with left hand side traffic. but I really didnt get what u meant by no speed limits to private vehicles so what vehicles then have speed limits?
