In honor of Black History Month, let's pay tribute to NASA Engineer Joycelyn Harrison, who rec'd numerous patents and the 1996 R&D award, from R&D magazine for her role in developing T.H.U.N.D.E.R. technology (Thin-Layer Composite-Unimorph Piezoelectric Driver and Sensor).
This gives a nice visual on how this technology works. Thank you for the upload.
