It is a fair point, I suppose, that James' notoriety guarantees him a lot of hate. So, FWIW, James is no better or worse than his peers. I don't think that justifies his behavior, tho.

But does that mean you announce it on huge stage in a way that disrespects all the other good teams and the defending champs? No. The Celtics Trio got together and even though I'm sure they wanted to win the title, you didn't hear any guarantees before the season, and they still went on to win that year. LeBron just doesn't have any respect or class.
