Makes me sick ,bbajando, to hear ignorant racists who knock Italy and the great culture it has produced for the last 2,500 years just because you are JEALOUS!Since Spain fought against the U.S. in 1898 in the Spanish-American war, I guess the Spanish flag should not be waved on US territory according to your logic. BTW, the people of Cuba and Puerto Rico seemed pretty happy to see the US liberate them from SPANISH tyranny. Jose Marti wrote "Guantanamera", 4 Cuban freedom from Spain. W'ITALIA!

makes me sick to see people in this country waving a flag of a nation that fought against the usa in w.w.2. italia would not even support columbus when he needed money for the voyage. spain did. if you feel the need to wave a foreign flag on columbus day wave a spanish one

@bbajando I'll have you know that Spain also declared ware on this country at one time. When Columbus sailed in 1492, Italy was not yet unified. We hear about diversity and ethnic pride, well, we italiani have as much right to be proud of our culture as everyone else. Italy has given the world great composers, artists, sculptors. Other groups celebrate their heritage, so can we.

Yes that is true native americans were here...but Christopher Columbus should not be discredited with the great discoveries that he did make..he was one of the greatest explorers ever..and he did "discover" America for the Europeans...
