Within every human being is a walled, fortified structure that encages the soul. One day we will overcome it, break out and be free. But for now, we are trapped.
@jactop285 I heard it at my first show, the Spectrum in 91-92 at age 11. I had never heard this song and I still remember it today... this song vibrating through my entire little body.
I've seen the greatest names in rock 'n' roll, blues, country, and Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band still reign as the greatest live show I've ever seen, hands down. The only act I've seen that comes close is Stevie Wonder (the Stones, the Who, David Bowie, Tom Petty and Lucinda Williams all rank up there as well). When Bruce & the E Streeters are "on" they are, indeed, the greatest rock 'n' roll band in the world!
Last Springsteen concert I saw was in Copenhagen ... crowd was big but quiet - and the Boss worked hard for the first hour to get them rocking ... Trapped helped but it was Badlands that finally got every sorry ass up and dancing.
When will they leave her ... she's definitely "trapped" by the ignorance in the minds of the bloody coupists in Myanmar. One day they'll know that its 21st Century.
don't you ever feel that if you had a soundtrack to your life, Bruce's lyrics and their meanings could very nicely summarize every chapter of your life? I have had this thought for quite some time and when I stumble onto a song I haven't heard, it still relates to some aspect of my life, describes an emotion, a feeling, a mood.
@foxyoxyyy Well there might be a Bruce song or two on my soundtrack, but I would be more Beatles/Stones/ Monkees, and a lot of Ted Nugent.. Might be a good topic for an open topic chat...Maybe pick 20 songs that you just would have to have to cover your(or anyone's) life. This would be on my list though...Sums up my first(and only) marriage.
I'm so happy I stumbled across this. I was at this Vancouver show, and this was the first time I'd heard Trapped. It was so absolutely amazing, I don't really know what else to say. It was quite the experience. No one can put on a live show like the Boss.
Saw Bruce do trapped in Boston around 92' It was amazing as all the lights were turned up bright just as he sang the words "so now I'm trapped" It blew everyone away!
RIP Big Man
