Sadly, the music world lost Billy yesterday, 02/22/12. He contributed far more to the pop music scene than most people realize, including many performers like Frank Sinatra, Nancy Sinatra, The Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, The Ventures, Willie Nelson, The Everly Brothers, Wanda Jackson, Randy Newman and did arrangements for many if the best known entertainers of their day like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Duane Eddy, and Elvis Presley.
As od October 2010. Billy is still with us and has his own forum. He no longer plays but has a huge and rich legacy of both recordings and orchestral work.
Gorgeous! What an amazing amount of talent assembled here, intense but loose! The banjo work is incredible, and what a joy to hear a young Leon get to really stretch out his tender wings on this!
The playing far surpasses it's framework. No paint-by-numbers going on here, THAT'S for sure! It's like you were all chasing each other, almost not running in the same direction, yet brilliantly ending up in the same place!

He was one of the greats and will be missed!
