Every gender has strategic friendships. Both the male and female who has a plethora of "friends", usually is not super cool with all these people. Some of these folks are associates and other are true friends. Everyone in our life plays a role, there is nothing shady about that, you play a role in someone's life as well. Besides your immediate family (whom you don't choose) There should be always be a benefit for anyone being in your life or else, why are they there?
