  • could you share the link man?? thx a lot

  • A wonderful piece, I love it! Milt jackson is so funky and sentimental at the same time. This is originally from Goodby album.

  • Love how the drums are always panned hard right. True`CTI vintage recordings.

  • Every one of them is just brilliant! Could a pianist please explain the instrument Cedar Waalton is playing? And what is the difference in technique to a grand piano?

Saw Ron Carter recently in Paris and he overshadows accompanying musicians if they are not of his stauts.

  • @hommefriday the instrument used by Waalton is a Fender Rhodes piano. ;-)

  • Why is there a picture of Bobby Hutcherson?

  • @1trueNRG Got it quick and wrong! Sorry!

  • who is on keys

  • @Genetti44

    Cedar Walton, Piano

    Ron Carter, Bass

    S. Gadd, Drums

Originally released in 1974, on the CTI LP "Goodbye", per the msg below by "majr4".

  • Gadd is a terrific drummer, but .... man, he doesn't swing. Everything is light triplets followed by a big plop on One.

  • @laughingtiger123

he has a light touch to let the featured instrumentalist combo add to

not swingin' during laws' solo?! ah, please explain swinging...

Gadd is all time appropriate on every level just about every time i've heard.

  • The original is Milt jackson's GOODBYE on CTI, and it was Steve Gadd on all but 1 track
