The problem with hollywood nowadays is that they think that either gore or jump scares could make the movie. What they don't think is that the best aspect of any horror movie is the unknown, make it so that you don't know why things are going on, and that the thing that is supposed to be scary is actually intimidating. Like the Knife Killer from the first friday the 13th movie. Intimidating and you know Jack about her motives.

I don't mean to sound like a boring square that didn't enjoy this review, but the strangers standing around trolling them was the entire motive. Of course they could have killed them immediately. They just didn't because it was a lot more fun to instill fear and panic into them before they died. They even confirm this at the end. "You were home" could be replaced with "we were bored out of our minds and had nothing better to do". But good review otherwise. You rip these movies a new asshole.
