Soldiers have to arrive in ski masks to purchase a coffin for their fallen. My uncles are being threatened, and ironically their only defense are rival gangs to those threatening them that they have to pay protection fees.
i have to endure this pain every year when my family and i go to mexico during the winter holidays at times im scared to walk aboutside because of the change in environment from a peaceful suburb to this war zone

Now we can't go to visit my mother in law who is 91 yrs old and she will not get to see her grandchildren cause of this war.

legalize drugs is not a good idea because without this business they will start to kidnap innocent people to get some money, and if the army still fighting whit them is almost the same the inocent people die. the cartels have heavy weapons barrets bazookas etc they have armored trucks and many of them are exmilitary people, is like a game that never ends. time ago mexican cartels were not a problem because nobody messed with them. pd. sorry my english is not so good :) im from jalisco mexico

They need to legalize drugs to eliminate drug cartels - isnt that obvious enough? Instead of spending all this money fighting a perpetual war over drugs, legalize the shit and hand it over to greedy corporations. Yes, it looks like we condone drug use, but at least it stops the bloodshed. The only deaths will result from those that make poor choices themselves.
