It has been at least 20 years since I first started watching this film, and this scene STILL freaks my shit out. You'd think it'd get less scary over time, but nope. Still terrifying.

As a kid this scene scared the living daylights out of me. The music, the fireplace... God. Parents whinge about kids' movies today, but this scene still sends shivers down my spine years after I first saw it.

I love Maleficent! shit shes just so cool. I was talking to someone about some disney villains (for reasons that escape me now) and EVERYONE agreed that they all were terrified of her, especially this part. I don't get it, and im not some creepy goth kid or anything, but I really don't understand whats so scary about her...I'd wanna hang out with her n have a drink lol. Or Halloween party! she'd kick mafuckin ass to hang out with there!!!...

It is the exact translation of "spindle". Since the use of that item became rare it's not a word you'll hear a lot. That term is mostly used in biology, the "Sindle apparatus" is called "Fuseau mitotique" for example.

Another meaning of that word, more commonly used, refers to the time zones which are called "fuseaux horaires".

I cannot put into words how much I absolutely love this scene, and how much seeing Aurora sit up in front of the mirror, with green light surrounding her and her being completely under Maleficent's control, affected me as a kid... In a very good way ^_^
