They're not too cowardly to play road games, it just doesn't fiscally make sense. If Creighton wants to act like one of the big boys, they need to at least start scheduling some 2 for 1's; this is what got Gonzaga on the map and where St. Mary's is headed. What is my beef with CU??? Well, your unsubstantiated remark, typical of CU fans, "they're obviously the better team" is my problem. Does the fact they lost to NU this year make is "obvious"?? BTW, the Big 12 is 5-0 so far in the tourney.

Gonzaga never did 2 for 1's. They played a lot of neutral site games with high quality teams. CU would never do a 2 for 1 because it makes absolutely no sense financially when you put 16,000 in your building every game. By the way, good luck going to the final four, you'll need it.

ESPN was my source on the Gonzaga for 2 for 1's; so I was misinformed. Now, with regard to the 16,000 every game as reason to not do a 2 for 1, so be it. But it you want be considered a contender in years when you can't even win your petty conference's automatic bid, then you better find some other way to get some teams better than St. Josephs and New Mexico to build your resume. Does staying at home to watch the NCAA tournament make sense financially??

Appreciate you coming out the game. The foul at the end of the game was tough, but NOWHERE near as bad as the call that was called a shooting foul at the end of the first half when the KU guy was so far underneath the hoop on an entry pass that he was just inches from stepping out on the play and still deemed to be shooting....upon receiving the pass. I can tell you that the people sitting around me last night weren't too GD impressed with my language after that one; not to mention the other 1

Well I will agree P is not to impressive right now but at the time they played he was doing a little better but what he does a lot is drive to the lane pull in help defenders and then kick out. Booker Woodfox had 6 out of 7 games threw a stretch there that he had scored 20 or more couldn't get open that game. Needed P more for pulling his defender off just anouther foot or two. As for the Nit right now neither team is looking to good for that.

Creighton had the same refs the night before and I told the guy with me that these reffs will do something at the end of the game to change the outcome. yes i do follow college football i know tons about it. The WMU comparison was yes slightly off but still it is a MAC team a team that Nebraska should by at least 30 points every time. So you are saying after one 11 point win against a crappy team means that CU isn't on the rise. Creighton beat Dayton by 19 and just won the Las Vegas Classic. Sure the classic isn't great but at least it isn't as bad as losing to UMBC. I brought football into it so i could compare on an easier scale.

as for basketball still it is UMBC for all we know Southern could get into the tourney this year. It doesn't matter where they were last year, it matters where they are this year. Nebraska has a clear an advantage on playing tourney teams because they play Big 12 teams. UMBC was a 15 seed in last years tournament. if you are proud about beating a 15 seed well then thats great. as a creighton fan it would be a normal win. but i guess for nebraska fans it is a great win because hey we beat a tourney team even though we aren't in the tourney.

I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean by a "normal" win for CU. After all, Creighton doesn't "normally" beat teams that get into the dance. If you mean Creighton "normally" beats bad/average teams, then you're spot on. This is why they are in the post season so regularly; not because they're great, but they lace their non conference schedule with powder puffs prior to going into league play which is also made up of powder puffs. This is why the struggle in the post season too; even the NIT.

I think this win isn't as big of a deal as the Husker fans are making it. But I'll also say that last year's win wasn't as big of a deal as CU fans made it. Unless you are playing a power house team, you should win on your home floor. When one of these teams beats the other on the road, then there's something to talk about.

The bottom line is that this was a sloppy game for both teams, and it is evident that both teams need to improve before conference play.

Yes, I saw the game against Dayton. Who knows, if Dayton keeps playing the type of basketball that they are now, they'll be in the top 25 in no time. Ironically, of all Creighton's home games this year, the Dayton game had the 2nd worst attendance which only further confirms my point that Creighton fans are only at the Qwest to be seen and they don't really care who the Jays are playing.

The game was on a Wednesday I know my whole family was busy with religious things i was lucky enough to get out of. of course the fans know who creighton is playing. Creighton only snuck by southern like Nebraska snuck by Baylor in football. Yes, I was at the DU & Southern game and snapped a picture of the premier seats at mid-court which were half filled five minutes into the game. Same old song at the Qwest: show up late, congregate by the concessions for the 2nd half, leave early.

Back to the Southern game: Southern had 29 turnovers & CU still only won by 11; did you know there wasn't even a line on this game it was supposed to be such a blow out??

NU beat Baylor by 12 in football & were favored by 10.5. Poor comparison!!!!
