  • No worries hammerton510. Let haters hate....thats what they do on youtube before they get in there galant and go to work at walmart.

  • I should have pursued IT about 10 yrs ago instead of auto technician lol I'd be the guy buying the cars instead of the jerk fixing em for no money lol

  • ok why do u have this video named transmission failure? and ariel atom? just to get more views or something??!!

  • @bond1011 The video was originally posted to allow anyone wanting someone with real world experience to give opinions on the cars. Unfortunately my transmission failed on the Nissan GT-R at ~480 miles after 2 weeks of ownership. IT then became a video highlighting the plight of many GT-R owners. I have an Ariel Atom and owned a GT500 as well. If anyone has any questions related to my experience with the Z06, GT-R, GT500 or Atom they were welcome to ask.

  • @hammerton510 ok then sry that was all my fault, whenever i hear a corvette vs a GT-R i automatically think racing! lol

  • still looks sexy

  • What kind of engineer are you? I'm also an engineer, you should know perceived engineering quality is rarely a true representation of good design. The best engineered devices are usually the simplest devices, like the Z06. I've driven a GTR at Buttonwillow and it was the most boring experience I've ever had on a track. There was no driver engagement b/c the car did everything for you. I dont want my car to park/shift, or drive itself that takes the challenge and excitement out of the experience.

  • if you were my neighbor i would be ur best friend

  • if you ever use the launch control, even just once, your gtr warranty is void, and right now every day gtr trannys are blowing like crack ho's-way too easy and for nearly nothing!

  • great cars!!!!

  • It does much more than just shifting itself. It blows minds if you know how to drive... :)

  • @kedluben It also blows transmissions. :-D

  • @hammerton510 :) Yeah, you´re one unlucky fella...

  • dude keep both, its the best of domestic and import!

  • are you a drug dealer???

  • @RaNdY04gt No, a Chief Information Officer, husband and father of two wonderful children.

  • @hammerton510

what does a chief information officer do. You should trade your z06 for the zr1.

  • @RaNdY04gt Executive for Information Technology.

  • Lol better engineering quality? And, you're replacing the transmission on which car again? Lol.

  • Lol better engineering quality? And, you're replacing the transmission on which car again? Lol.

  • Like to see your wifes car set a 'ring time like the GTR. Insane amount of money?...the GTR is the most bang for buck you can buy that you can use daily.

Anyway, glad to see the tranny was covered under warranty. No more LC abuse!

  • Sweet Z06 dude,

At least you can take that to a track run it hard and it will still drive home, the GTR however you'll need a tow truck and about 20k to repair the tranny.

  • If I was your neighbor I would just sit on my porch and stare in envy

  • @oerunekoi Yes it's legal in Florida. You can have 25% on the back and 35% on the front I believe.

  • hahah thats how you spend your money?

not a bad way to do it,

bwt why havent you get a supra

a 98 supra 800hp? now thats fun xD

  • You have an excellent taste in cars. I read on the comments that you liked the double clutch, just wondering what your opinion is on the new Porsche Turbos?

  • I wish I would have bought the Porsche instead of the GTR. I test drove a ZR1 but it just didn't seem that much more than my Z06 so maybe a Porsche is in my future.

  • @hammerton510 Yeah I've driven my friend's Z06, and he said the same thing when testing it out last year. They were too similar for the difference in price. And I have only driven the 996 turbos but with the 2010 I've heard nothing but good comments on it.

  • @hammerton510

you should drive the ZR1 in a track to see the difference and first of all the brakes...

  • @furbygr I test drove the ZR1. I was considering replacing the GT-R with one. To be honest, I didn't see enough of an advantage over the Z06 to warrant the $50,000 premium. I would like the brake package on the Z06 though.

  • I wish Chevy decided to make RHD versions, although this would destroy the Conversion business, it sure would make them a far more reasonable price. I dream of owning a ZR1. However, $400,000AUD is simply ridiculous. I would prefer to spend about $50k building my own track car which would be a great experience and quite possibly as fast... and I would still have $350,000k in my pocket! lol.

  • Great Video's and comments. Besides the computer and features the design of the GT-R interior is typically Nissan and quite ordinary. No style, square and bland. The corvette is also bland though. Also the price of a new Z06 starts at $74kUS i thought the GT-R starts in the low 90's. The ZR1 is meant to be the competitor to the GT-R. P.S I live in Australia.... A second hand Z06 fetches a premium of $160,000AUD here... it costs us $400,000AUD to import a ZR1 (new)... consider yourself lucky! :P

  • i wood love to have the GTR but not in my life time.

  • Nice cars. I can imagine your wife in the house talking to her friend on the phone (while you were filming) saying, "He's outside messing with his toys again." My wife always hates when I spend time with my cars.

  • @huntergluck She hates it even more when I come home with a new one. She's a CPA and doesn't get it.

  • What do you do for a living that you make this much money? Just curious because it looks like you have a pretty nice house and nice cars. Congrats dude!

  • @gunzkevin Chief Information Officer, thank you but I wouldn't say I made a lot of money, just have a love for cars and will work harder/more hours to get them.

  • it's legal to have tinted windows on the corvette? you had to pay some tax?

  • Very nice taste in cars!!!

  • Thank You

  • dude I bet that ariel atom whoops both the z06 and the GTR lol, those little go karts can move and handle!!!

  • The Atom is much harder to drive and runs out of steam after 120 or so, at least my Atom 2 does. I haven't drivin the supercharged Honda Atom 3. It's insane off the line and it's a blast to drive though.

  • how much is your insurance and average maintenance cost please let me know soon im buying a GTR SOON.

    PS I HAVE A SKYLINE R34 with 750 horsepower

  • Insurance is around $1100 a year. The maintenance is very high on the GTR. You can't turn the rotors, they must be replaced and I've heard they cost $800 each. The 12,000 mile transmission oil change is over $2,000. I've heard the tires don't last long and cost $4,000 but at 2500 miles I still have plenty of tread. I am not using the race alignment though.

  • @hammerton510 Well I just picked up my brand new Red 2010 GTR and its awesome I have not had any problems with it so far it only has 80 miles on it I will put up some videos later on this week or when I get a chance. Insurance isn't that bad It was only 1400 for me but again I am 21. Now I have both of my Dream cars the SKYLINE R34 AND GTR.

  • @devilishere1988 Good Luck with it, be careful of that VDC switch. Nissan WILL void your warranty if you use it and blow your transmission.

  • @devilishere1988 I wish you the best and hope that mine truely is a lemon. Nissan says that what I'm experience is within vehicle design and I truely hope that is not the case. I can't imagine a transmission failure at 480 miles is considered 'normal'.

  • Hey, how about an M6? Or maybe even a CL63. Did the tranny break because you launched it?

  • No, no launches, in fact when the transmission failed I had my family in it and we were pulling out of our drive to go see a Christmas concert.

  • Good luck with your GT-R man. I sure hope you get a full cash refund because the money you've spent on gas back and fourth from the dealership is ridiculous since it shouldn't even be happening. If you do, would you trade in the Z06 as well and take the GT-R money and get a ZR1? Or do you have any other beauties in mind? ;] I mean it'd be dumb to have a Z06 and ZR1 haha.

  • Before I bought the GT-R I had visited several Chevy Dealerships and was considering trading the Z06 on a ZR1. Two reasons I didn't, the interior on the Z06 and ZR1 are, in my opinion, horrible. Second they had a $30,000 markup that they wouldn't move on. I do regret not buying the ZR1 now though.

  • I agree, if GM/Chevy are going to market the ZR1 for that much money the interior should be a lot nicer. For 100+K you can get a NICE C63 with beautiful leather and a interior you'd want to show off, or even a step up to a CLS63 or E63 if you are at the 100 grand mark. Good luck, try and comment me back arond Apr. 15th because I am curious to hear how Nissan treats a loyal customer buying their expensive merchandise...

  • u legit have every car ive ever wanted....especially the lexus ls460....that thing is a beast i want it so bad haha

  • i still wish the GT-R have 6-speed maunal!!!!

  • I agree, with a traditional manual I wouldn't be having these issues but I probably wouldn't have bought it either. The dual-clutch was the reason I chose the GTR over the Z06. Lesson learned, I had heard of the problems but I could never have dreamed it was this bad.

  • u should get the ZR1!!!!

  • Considering it after the issues I've had with the GTR.

  • @hammerton510 then wat u u going to do with Z06??

  • It's gone but I wish I would have kept it.

  • Nice cars man I will be their one of these days with my collection and my wifes ranger lol. Has Nissan declared to fix your GTR yet? Its sad to think one of the best sport car's ever is messing up but it happens. I hope Nissan gives it to you for free. They can be a mess to deal with when it comes to warranty and repair going through the same thing right now lol. Keep us all updated. God B :-)

  • Yes, they are attempting the final repair on April 5th.

  • Any new updates on the GTR's trans? Nice choice of cars, if I had to get an import the GTR or a FD rx7 is all I think I could take. Corvettes have always been my favorites cars.

  • I've been having issues and Nissan has scheduled a final repair attempt on April 5th. I stopped uploading videos of the problems but after the repair I'll put them up. It may end up going to arbitration so I want to make sure I don't do anything with the data that I'm not suppose to.

  • @hammerton510

Good idea and good luck with the repair. Keep us updated when you cen.

  • how dependable is the Z06? Aside from normal maintenance issues such as oil change, new tires, etc. What other issues should I be looking for when i buy the car? Any pre-warning or anything I should be concerned about? Gas mileage I heard is amazing for the amount of power the car has to offer. How is it on the freeway, long vacational drives? Are the new 2010/2011's more reliable and fixed your problems you think? And how dependable is the motor? Is it a tank? Or fragile... Can it last 100k?

  • I've owned three Corvettes and lets just say they didn't win any JD Power awards for quality. I'd get a 2009+ due to the oil sump being larger.

For comparison, I've put 2200 miles on my GTR and 6000 miles on the Z06. I had one clutch problem in the Z06 but can't seem to get the bugs out of the GTR. Gas mileage is great on both cars, but the Z06 wins. Z06 interior is worse than my GT500 but it's incredibly comfortable. It's also not a tank but it's simple and easy to maintain unlike the GTR.

  • hey dude I dont know much about dependability for the zo6 but new corvettes are crap...yes they run execellent moters in them but they are pretty bad when it comes to handling. the tires that come stock arent that great so Id think twice about getting one...the sacrifice is yeah you have power but the handling just doesnt match up and compare

  • okay if you had to pick one what would it be...GTR or Z06?

  • If I didn't have the transmission problems I would choose the GTR but with the problems I'm having and Nissan's response I think I'd take the Z06.

  • fail

  • very good comparo. thanks for the review.

  • Man this dood is my hero!! look at all dem wips!!! give you mad probs guy... man that GTR looks too raw omg dat Z06 too and wtf you plannin to get a ZR1 dam!! dis guy is wussup...

  • you have all the cars i like..even the Lexus..i have a 2009 Zo6 and only have 3 thousand miles on it...it just sits..drive it 300 miles park it for the week sits 200 miles Ect Ect..i would love a GT-R but have heard the motor over works the Trans..

  • Ooooh, you lucky dog, you. Wanna trade jobs? Work a college kid's retail job for a couple years? ;)

Seriously though, these are fantastic. I hope to be able to afford ANY of these someday. And the best part? You seem very humble about all of them. Good on you, sir.

  • you sound like a nice guy man a family person, down to earth. keep it that way.

    and enjoy the cars.

I love the GTR but I don't have the money for it now but hopefully I will soon in couple of years maybe

  • Nothing more important to me than family, especially my two boys. They aren't car nuts but I love them anyway.

I do appreciate the comment and do believe that what comes around, goes around. If you're in the area send me a message and we'll take it and the Ariel for a spin.

  • ZR1 :)?

  • Nice car's bro. If you want some advice since you regret selling your beloved Z; buy a used ZR1. Do you sell your car's or trade them in when getting a new model? How much money do you lose upgrading to new models?

  • The ZR1 is definitely on my list of wants. I do trade them in. When the transmission initially failed on the GT-R at 400 miles and 3 weeks of ownership they repaired it. I tried to trade it in and they offered me $58,000 dollars and it was only 3 weeks old. That's a $30,000 loss if you include taxes in less than a month. They said the price had gone soft on them because of the economy but I can't help to think the transmission fiasco didn't have something to do with it. I kept it.

  • In the GTR's defense, it IS a brand new car and Nissan still needs to work out the kinks. However, 400 miles and a new tranny is unacceptable. I believe you should look up the lemon law in your state if they are trying to fuck you 30K dollars in 3 weeks. My Father bought an E500 and it had 3 transmissions in a month and they gave him his 83K back after a lawyer threat. Take that into consideration. To me it may not be a lemon because it is new, but get your money back and save for a 2011 GTR.

  • I actually filed with the State Attorney. The car has been in the shop for over 15 days and is currently in for transmission related problems. They have also had it for repair 4 times. I've had clutch slip that caused an overhot condition and shut down the engine. It will not accelerate and has caused both my wife and I to nearly get into accidents when pulling out of parking lots. Most recently it got stuck in 1st gear 5000rpm down the road at ~20mph. No lawyer yet, we'll see what happens

  • Update, Nissan has received notice and they've told me to pick up the car. They will not work on it. I was told it is now a legal matter.

  • What happened? Lemon law for you now?

I have a GT-R and love it. Sorry this is happened to you car.

    R

  • @rcalcaide Nissan of America is suppose to call for a final repair attempt within the next 7 days. I'm hoping they can get it fixed.

  • @hammerton510

Can't they just replace the car?

  • I hope they can fix it but if not I should be covered under the lemon law.

  • @hammerton510 So i see the GT-R is putting you down. I don't know what you will do with it, but I hope you you and your family remain safe. I understand you want the car, but if it's going to continue to endanger your family because of mechanical failures I would put it down.

  • damn, what do you do for a living man? I would just like to own a Z06 and I would be happy for the rest of my life, I think lol

  • Well, one thing I learned is that I keep wanting the next best thing. It's never ending. The car manufacturers are really good at marketing and Nissan did a fantastic job at getting my attention years before they even delivered the GT-R to the states.

  • Yup, all car manufacturers have their nice supercars and each one with cons and pros. I'm a huge Corvette fan though.

  • For those of you who are wondering, the mean salary (avg) for a Cheif Information Officer is $208,000. Might I remind you that is the average, roughy 20k a month will buy a GTR, Z06, AA and LS 460L, without breaking a sweat. So stay in school kiddies and be a computer geek and you'll be able to make that kinda dough if you pick the right career and company. Given the future outlook of our country and economy, better rathole some cash or spend it on tangible items like Hammerton 510 did. :-)

  • I am really glad I found this video. Finally someone who actually owns both vehicles and can give a sense of what they both can accomplish. I agree though, the GT-R I would feel more like I am in a supercar over the Corvette. But the Corvette is just a mean quick awesome sounding car. DOES the GT-R Tranny breaking at 400 miles give you ANY doubt of what you could in the future face?

  • Thank you and yes the failure of the transmission concerns me. I've actually been having a problem since I've got the car back and it's been back to the dealership several times. Not a transmission failure but odd behaviors. I recently had the clutch slip, over heat and it shut the car down. This happened when pulling out of work and the transmission was cold. They can't explain it... yet. Shame because if it wasn't for my transmission issues I'd say it's the greatest car I've ever driven.

  • Dude what do you do for a living?

Are you in the mafia? Have you got your own oil refinery in your backyard? Do you export Thai women/organs? Btw I still miss the Bugatti Veyron, when are you getting that car? We could be really good friends hahaha

  • I couldn't afford the maintenance on a Veyron. The yearly costs are more than the cost of the GT-R. Although if I did have the money, I'd definitely own one.

    I'm a Chief Information Officer.

  • I have a 07 Z06 that I love, but recently test drove a GT-R. From the outside I like the profile of the GT-R but the rest is ugly, the interior is better than the Z06 but newer Z06's have added more leather to the interior. The paddle shift is nice, but in normal driving it's boring, why they didn't offer a manual gear box? To me the GT-R feels heavy, and I believe the hp is closer to 550hp which would make sense for the near equal performance . Still if I had an extra 80k, I'd get a used 997TT.

  • Awesome cars man, I agree with you the GTR is better than the Z06, but I don't think it is as good as the ZR1, the ZR1 gets some massive improvements all around, It can do 1.10 on the Skidpad opposed to the Z06's 1.01 G's...

Either way, both of the Vettes are harsh, rugged and race car like, they take a tremendous amount of skill to reach their potential, something only someone who has raced or trained to race can do...For the average person and even a skilled driver, the GTR will be faster.

  • Well said!

  • pinellas...i'm down in sarasota, picking up my gt-r this weekend.

  • Enjoy, maybe someday we'll see each other at Sebring

  • Wow. What a collection of cars...

  • sorry if you've already mentioned this, but is your GT-R an '09 or '10? i was trying to look at the calipers but i cant really get a good view. thanks!

  • 2010

  • I like people in general show their Gt-R like this. it much better. Nice video! :)

  • Whoa! the gray color look so beautiful!...look like the real professional car. i like black and silver too,but the gray really something else. if i have the money i would get the gray too.

  • I like the black, it's beautiful, but I couldn't find black locally. This was my second choice and it's definitely grown on me.

  • Sweet rides dude, ps trade in the Lexus for a cts-v and have your wife race you :-)

  • I actually test drove and automatic CTS-V a couple of months ago but it was for me. They didn't have a manual or I may have come home with it.

  • My wife would not give up her LS460L. That was her dream car and I think she might just give me up if I ever suggested she get something a little more sporty. Trust me, I've tried.

  • damn! what do you do for a living? seriously, what do you do?

  • CIO

  • I'm sooo jealous. u have a c6 z06, r35, and a atom!

  • No need to be. I won't have any money to pay for my retirement or my house if I lost my job. I'm not a great role model, I just have an addiction to cars. :-D

  • you speak of the GTR's quality yet they have more mechanical problems than any other sports car ive ever seen. give the Z06 ANYDAY.

  • Own both and then judge. Don't be loyal to a brand, that's the biggest mistake a car nut can make. If you can get past the looks of the GT-R, Nissan's lack of understanding of what they built, and the insatiable desire to turn VDC off, you'll find it is superior in quality and engineering. Both cars have their mechanical problems as I've discussed in previous comments. Don't be closed minded over a brand. It's not about who builds the car but who builds the car closest to the owner's desires.

  • you r my idol for the moment or at least we have the same taste my two cars i wanna get in the future the ls460 and the nissan gtr.......and you cant go wrong with a vette z06

  • dude you must have a big ass wallet lmao, a z06 and a gtr, holy shit i wonder how much you pay for those two babies insurance. that what i call, a DREAM house xD

  • Believe it or not but the insurance on both cars is only $150 more per year than my F150. The GT-R is more than the Z06, but not by much. The Ariel Atom is the cheapest , even cheaper than the F150,because it's insured as a collector car.

  • @hammerton510 an ariel atom it's something awesome, what engine it has, a civic engine supercharged? i believe so, anyways cool cars bud

  • It's an Ecotech 300hp supercharged, but they never really could get the engine to produce 300 but it's close.

  • corvette zo6 0-150 17.4 seconds.

    nissan gtr 0-150 24.2 seconds.

in real world road race, no match for the 6 times lemans winning 7 liter hand built, bullet proof motor. oops I forgot the Gtr has never raced in lemans or any other international road race/ endurance series, and can't since it is essentially a road 2+2 car.

  • Haven't heard those numbers but the GT-R does not accelerate as fast the the Z06 on the top end of speed. I would guess the 150-190mph range the Z06 would have an even greater difference. I definitely wouldn't call the motor bulletproof for reasons that I mentioned earlier.

  • WHeres the damn ariel atom at dont put ariel atom in the title if you dont have one. The cars you have are pieces of shit compared to the atom plus the atom 300 can smoke all those cars for less.

  • I do have a 2007 Atom 2 and it won't 'smoke' the others. In a 1/4 that atom is actually a little slower and as for cost. The total for all the options was over $90k which is more than the LS460L, Z06 and GT-R.

  • i think id pick the corvette just because i personally think its better looking. And for the burnouts. not that id ever come across that hard decision tho :( you are very fortunate to be able to afford those 3 cars

  • I also think it's better looking from the outside. From the inside the GT-R wins hands down and I spend my time on the inside. It was more important that I please myself than others which is one of the reasons i kept the GT-R and not the Z06.

  • Nice rides buddy

  • nice cars! but i thing the gtr is bit ugly

  • From the side, I'd have to agree. Luckily the wheels help take the focus away from the car. When people pull up beside it, they always stare at the wheels.

  • ...had a GTR and C6Z06.... SOLD THE GTR. That about says it all!

  • I did just the opposite... That about says it all! :-D

  • I read your description, I am amazed by what you say about the GTR. I used to really not like those cars, but now I've openned my eyes. Is good to have a review by a real person, unlike those journalists who tend to give their opinion based on what company the car was made from. Nice cars.

What do you think about the GT500?

could you please let me know your opinion?

  • It's hard to compare the Z06 and the GT-R to the GT500. It had difficulty with traction and therefore didn't have the initial acceleration of the other two and it was definitely better in a straight line than in a turn. The drivetrain was bulletproof though, I even had a 3.4 whipple supercharger. Search the forums and you'll find that this motor and transmission combo rarely had issue even when modded and pushed hard at the drag strip. For $30,000 less, definitely a respectable car.

  • All right, thanks a lot. I recently own an 03 Cobra and was planning on a future to trade for a GT500. I just plain do drag racing, so if it doesn't handle as well as it goes, well, that won't be an issue.

I can slap some slicks and traccion problem resolved.

    Thanks for the reply!

  • i hear u praise the Z-06

  • I like ur input but there is no consistancy in ur comments anymore, first the Z was a more reliable, better car, now it somewhat not that compared to the GTR, i think the Z is much faster and u can drive it harder, and u have a real clutch, even 0-60 is better w/ a good driver. and its pure ENGINE no turbos or boost needed, the vette is a bad ass car, they dont give u instuctions on what not to do to it,or it will tear up the tranny, WTF

  • There's consistency but there are pro's and con's of each car. I'm trying to give the best of the best for each and the worst of the worst for each and sometimes it sounds as if I'm bashing and then praising each. Sorry for the confusion.

  • Hey great cars. Im getting the 2011 GTR from my parents for my 19th birthday which is in three months. I'm probably going to wait until June to buy it though. Anyways I'm going to be using the GTR as an everyday car. I wanted to ask if the interior is well built, quiet, & is the ride smooth? If not, I'm probably going to look into getting a different car. Right now I drive a G37 & that's great for everyday use, comfortable as well. Which high performance car would you suggest for every day use?

  • I wouldn't say it's quiet or smooth but well built. Not as good interior as the LS460L but light years ahead of the Z06. It is very comfortable as a daily driver and has a great stereo.

  • wow... wanna adopt me?

  • Sorry, already have two wonderful children.

  • one thing I discovered about the GTR transmission which explains why they break, its an American made transmission, built by Borg Warner. Thankfully Nissan is cancelling their contract with Borg Warner in the near future. The only reason Nissan went with Borg Warner was due to US government pressure for Nissan to start using more American components in their cars. And now Nissan has to suffer because of poor quality American made transmissions. But the GTR is amazing still!

  • Hadn't heard that one.

  • @hammerton510..its true what gorgnaga say about Borg Warner..they built the transmission..so i think Nissan plans to stay away from them..

  • How much do you pay a month on the GTR?

  • I put down a decent down payment so it's not too bad.

  • @hammerton510 you do realize that the Z06 is way more dependable and reliable

  • Sorry, but that is not true. The Z06 has problems with the needle bearings in the rockers. The 2006-2008 Z06's had oil starvations issues if pushed hard in corners that would destroy the engine. They also have a known problem with the hydraulic clutch. I did have problems with mine, including a rattle in the horrible interior that I could never get rid of and too rough an idle for my tastes.

  • OP, do you know if that problem applies to the ZR1 as well?

  • The 2009 and up Z06 and ZR-1 have a larger sump and I've not heard of any problems with oil starvation. As for the other problems I don't know. It is interesting to note that I had a GT500 and the Z06. Both cars had the same transmission and both were difficult on hard acceleration to get into second. The GT500 was really bad and a lot of forum member's complained about it. Last night on Top Gear Jeremy Clarkson(sp?) complained while driving the ZR-1 that second gear was giving him problems.

  • Hmm, making a perfect car is really difficult. Also, Jeremy didn't mention this second gear issue from the last time he test drove the ZR1...

Sorry for being nit-picky, but the C6 ZR1 is spelled without a hyphen. The C4 ZR-1 does, however. It's like saying "GTR" and getting people confused between the Nissan GT-R and the Ultima GTR. :P

  • Yes, I think it's actually impossible. Thanks for the clarification on the ZR1. The episode last night was the re-run where they drove the ZR1, CTS-V and Charger on the salt flats. I didn't hear him say it the first time but the second time I saw the episode I did. It was while he was on his way to the flats and the camera was on Jeremy. He briefly and quietly complained about it.

  • only reason i did not order the Nissan GTR is Transmission Failure why did Nissan do this ? any way plan buy Z06 thanks for your video.

  • Both are great cars, I know you'll definitely enjoy the Z06.

  • Yes a lot of brand new cars have problems and it sucks that the new GTR's do too oh well gotta look at it as a way of starting an improvement of a car remember Japanese only want to make things easy for them doesn't count for everyone else.

I would still buy one but I still get the R34 GTR over the new one.

  • Yeah, my wife had a 2000 and a 2002 Acura TL and three transmission failures between them within 50,000 miles as well as many other problems. I'll personally never own another honda product.

  • My two dream cars are sitting in you're drive way, what is it you do for a living?

  • lol "my wifes car, it costs the same, it freakin parks itself"

dude you have the sickest garage ever!!!! all my dream cars, zo6, GTR and a god damn arial atom!!! i would give anything to have your cars!

  • Well, I sold the Z06, but I'm regretting it now.

  • @hammerton510 why do you regrett it? doesnt the GTR treat you well?

  • Yes, the GTR is great, but so was the Z06. GT-R and Ariel Atom are both great cars and for many reasons I chose to keep them. I unloaded the Z06 so that I might be able to pick up a ZR1 in a year or two. I'm hoping that they drop a little in price and I can find one a year old with a couple of thousand miles for a lot less than sticker.

  • Nice color for the GTR, but the thing is these days a lot of people are buying this color or silver.

    Nice comfortable LS.

  • Yeah, I was torn, I really didn't like any of the color options available.

  • which is good for a everyday driving?

  • GTR hands down.. much better interior, better stereo system, easier to get in and out, four seats, a little more space, less rattles and most importantly you don't have to manage a clutch in stop and go traffic.

  • My Corvette 87K miles and the tranny is still running strong. go figure

  • How 'bout you show us driving this thing vs. talking about it in yer driveway. C'mon man.

  • I hope to take it and the Ariel Atom to Sebring. I'll post some video when I do.

  • hi there - lovely set of vehicles you have. just wondering - as much as i like the GTR it looks horrible in pictures and only a touch better in videos but does it look better in the flesh?
