yea he did. if you listen to the dialogue in the loading intermissions and listen to the story line you find out that lynch hallucinated and killed his wife.

thats the beauty of this game you play it with a mate or brother and its fun and frustrating. for me and jamie it was 5 hours straight on freedom fighters lol.

Umm...you have to play as second player in Co-op thats how the game layout is, but it doesn't matter to much besides how they look and Lynch's small missions,
