  • in 1908 a lady named sally rusa was in the woods looking for a dog until a ghost came and killed her so if ur reading this u will find a bloody body in your closet hanging there haunting you and will kill you and ur family and if u want to stop this just sends this to 6 videos in 30 mins or this will happen good luck!!!

im sorry i dnt wnt to die

  • @SpyroandCyndersfan You know that's not true. If it was real, they'd SPELL it right, use the right GRAMMAR, and no RUN ON SENTANCES.

  • @PeachThePikachu Aww shut up I just copied and pasted and I did this bacause I was bord Duh.

Oh and you spelled sentences wrong it is spelled like this SENTENCES. RETARD

  • My dog is scared shit of my gerbil. My dog is a german sheppard....

  • cool :)

  • 0:27-0:29

    Poor gerbil :(

  • People, she said in the descriprion, her first gerbil care book said lifting a gerbil by its tail was OK, but she now knows its not. So leave her alone!! Thanks!!

  • Chippy is a fatass

  • Haha I showed my old guinea pig to my cat once. ( Don't worry I was holding the Guinea) She tried to take a bite out of her so I could tell they were not going to be friends. ( She just * Tried * to bite her. I was good and whipped around before he teeth went into my guinea :)

  • Your dog looks pretty calm and peaceful. My dog almost ate my hamster, when I showed it.

  • yeah those gerbil care books are shit, the one i had said it was fine to pick up by the tail and even showed an open gerbil tank with a dog sitting right next to it, the gerbil was obviously freaked out lol ....i think the book was from the 80s or something though.

  • You complete idiot. Did you seriously just pick it up by the tail? My 3 year old sister is smart enough to realise thats not right. I swear people should be given a stupidity test before being allowed to look after animals.

  • Wtf are you doing holding the gerbil by it's tail for a start? But introducing a small animal to a big animal, no matter how tame is just irresponsible. What would you do if your dog ate your gerbils alive?... Have fun clearing up the mess?

  • well i lift mine lol =)

  • U never Fuckin lift a gerbil like that U dumbshit >:(

  • I honestly dont think you should keep this video up on youtube even if you have tried to justify picking up your gerbil by its tail. You are a very stupid person.

  • That dog is a pussy :)

  • I really don't feel confortable with that little gerbil being close to that dog :S A dog could eat the poor thing if it wanted too, that's why I wouldn't even think of letting my dog anywhere near my gerbil, hamster, mouse, rat etc. (if I had any of them cute little things :D ) because my dog seems to just eat anything that can fit in his mouth and I wouldn't want to turn back round and be like 'where's my gerbil gone?' and see my dog licking his lips...

  • you shouldnt be grabbing your gerbils by the tail they break easily

  • that white gerbil looks just like my gerbil Soosie

  • somethimes what happens is the dog kills the gerbil.

  • crazy people...

  • dude never hold the gerbil by the tall idot dont do it because gerbils look so cute with there tails

  • that was the worst 1 minuet and 34 seconds of my life.

  • beatifull dog. what race it is?

  • Haha dogs looking straight to the camera thinking 'What the hell are you putting near my face" :')

  • dog is is looking like wtf

  • You should never put a dog or any other animal in contact with a small pet something can go wrong

  • @elecam1257

yeah, gerbils are dangerous. one time i saw one take down a whole pack of dogs on his own.

  • I could never do this with my dog and gerbils. She's very curious, even with the guinea pigs we've had for years.

Your dog (Basenji, right?) is beautiful. I love the look on his face when the gerbil's next to him.

  • nice dog :)

  • How big of a tank would i need to keep two gerbils in?

  • your pets are gorgeous!!! especially your dog! hes a beaut!

  • this is really cute lol

  • I know its funny, but please be careful ^^. Dogs can act instinctively and things can go wrong.

  • I introduced my hamster Lilly to my dog Scout, and we literally had to hold him back from killing her.

  • lol,i think the dog is the scared one!

  • Pretty dog.... AND GERBIL

  • dont take its tail - it may brake or rip off!

  • i let my gerbil snowy say hello to my dog dotty (dont worry i had her safe in my hands and covered) and snowy bit dotty on the nose it was very funny (but i can trust dotty with the gerbils as shes whould probly hert them)

  • if you picking the gerbil up at the beginning of the tail than there is no problem!

  • pooooor Gerbil, he's alone :(

  • watching this is suddenly thought "The dingo ate your baby or gonna eat your baby."

  • Yes, all the old gerbil books ok'ed picking them up by the base of the tail. Nobody here is OLD enough to remember that. The same was said for rats and mice. However, it was not advised to pick them up by the end of the tail because of the skin separating. People are whining about animal rights and they themselves go around kicking puppies.

  • i like ur wallpaper! its so cool

  • For an amateur video, you really did well with the camera angles and the music fit the video very well. Great job!

I only mention that it's an amateur video because it's painfully obvious that you use Windows Movie Maker because of the scrolling text in the blue screen. Not a bad thing, just over used by a lot of YouTubers. Still! Great video!

    *Gives a thumbs up*

  • #FAIL

  • shouldnt hold it by the tail! it might come off

  • @simplemagickids hahahaahhaha!! i really dont know why did your comment make me laugh that much but i really cant stop it :D

  • I put my gerbils next to my mom`s chihuahua`s, and they (chihuahua) ran away like little girls.

  • i think it was funny when my gerbils (the ones i had a few years back) got to meet my big brother's dog for the first time (he's an english staffordshire bullterrier, the dog, bot my brother XD). and the dog got scared i think, he was at least sceptical towards them

  • rofl the dog is looking at the u like "are you fu**king serious right now your replacing me with a damn rat!?"

  • cute as hell!

  • lol i like chippy

  • my gerbil had 2 pups and my dog was always nice to them ten once i held one of my baby gerbils up to my dog and she bit at it now the only boy from the last litter almost starved because his older brothers are fat and they wouldn't let him eat

  • ive got two gerbils called chuck and norris>.<

  • i dotnt have a gebril or a dog i have kitty and a guinee pig but thanks god its not a roottweiler the dog

  • God, my Mastiff Chief would have to kill me if I brought a gerbil close to him. Same as my cat; they're both chickens. Don't even say how dumb I am for even thinking about it... but Happy was afraid of my fish.

  • The dog thinks:Dude what the f*** since the day he brought home these fluffy balls he gives them to me to do what?Eat them?

  • my dogs wana eat mine

  • my dog would attack it

  • lol @ gerbils scaring the dog

  • love your dog - what type is he?

  • hehe i let my chinese water dragon next to my dog rosie and the dog just watched him, his ears were up and everything. only thing is when you let your dog with them... i got scared cuz i had bird once and i left him in my room cuz i had to go to bathroom and when i came back... my mom had put dog in there... wasnt great sight.... but thing is mammals kick off dogs instincts.... i thought your dog was gonna eat him...

  • my dog would break their bones like her dad (he killed mice)

  • chispa looks like a tiny chinchilla :D

  • my dog kisses my hamster

  • ahhhh what a beautiful dog =)

  • what happens when a dog meets a gerbil?...if the dog is gay, the gerbil might end up in a really weird place O_O

  • oh my goodness! your dog is adorable!!!

  • A Basenji!!! :DDD!!! (Cross breed?)

  • aww!! im getting a hamster and i bet my dog will ignore it! xDD

  • what kinda of dog is that? he al,ost look like a coyoter or fox hes adorable:)

  • My dog is afraid of my Gerbil xD

  • You have a really cute dog his beautifull!

  • Yes, looks a bit like a Basenji. My first thought was Ibizan hound. Both these breeds are sight hounds, so you're probably right to avoid introducing the gerbils again as their quick movements probably stimulate your gorgeous dog's prey drive. Cute gerbils! Gorgeous and nicely behaved dog, I think. :)

  • That is the cutest thing I ever saw!

Question. What made you feel safe enough to let your dog and gerbils get so close? I think I would be worried something might happen to one of the gerbils. They all looked so calm next to each other! It is amazing and so cute!

  • @TinyAppleDancer Thanks~

    I started off just letting the dog sniff around the gerbils cage, then after a while I held the gerbils near the dog so they could get used to each other then the first time I put the gerbils down, I had the dog on a lead so I could easily pull him away. Thankfully he didn't even try to hurt them so I let him off the lead (still sitting very very close, ready to stop anything and eventually I got this far. Though even while filming this I was cautious ^^;

    long reply :p

  • @BrillBirdie23 When my Girlfriend brings her dog over the dog loves to go stare at my roomates gerbils. The gerbils seem much more excited about having another animal around and have tried to get the dog to play with them. The dog ( Great piranese almost 70 pounds) however is afraid to interact and would rather just watch them scurry around.

  • Comment removed

  • @BrillBirdie23 my cat killed my dwarf hamsters but now with gerbils i keep them in a hamster ball just to be safe

  • @TinyAppleDancer Haha, whenever my little bichon frisé sees a gnawer she tries to kill it, and she won't rest until it's gone/dead. Eh.

  • Heh my dog is afraid of my gerbils

  • GAH! DON'T GRAB YUR GERBIL BY THE TAIL U COULD DEGLOVE IT!!!! D:

  • What breed of dog is that?

  • @gangsterfromdaghetto

Sorry, don't answer that. I just read one of the comments.

  • thats not the right treatment for a gerbil .

  • @DasFrettchenFreddy He held it by its tail. NOT COOL MAN!

    NOT COOL!

  • cute doggiy ^^

  • leave to you tubers to tell you did something wrong...lol.. i went off on the first drunk hampster guy not knowing that that is normal behavior and not alcohol induced. . adorable video

  • I understand. I was used to having gerbils, but no one never told me not to pick gerbils up by their tails. So... I have done the same thing you've done. It's really ok because they can't die or get sick from it all.

  • looks alot like a basenji and a new guinea singing dog mix

  • @Brian567899 *gasp* you're right! He really does, he may well be part new guinea singing dog :3

  • @BrillBirdie23 Now that i think of it he looks more like part Canaan but mostly Basenji because his face and neck area look exactly like a Basenji but the Canaan has pointier ears than the Basenji which he has and also the coat doesn't match the Basenji just right but it looks a little more broad than then Canaan dog. Hope that helps :D

  • i do it and my mom does it doesn't hurt them

  • Are you crazy?? Scare your dog like that with those monster gerbils!!! he he he

  • Dog hates them both. Did you not get it??

  • my dog is afraid of my gerbils too xD

  • If i was the dog, i probably would have thought you were giving me my lunch and would have had a cheeky bite lol!:)

  • filthy little rats

  • @RVMDairsoft

    first of all

    they are not rats.

second, they are the cleanest rodents.

    and also

rats are very smart and can be taught more tricks and words then a dog.

  • Weren't you afraid your dog was going to eat it? I sure was when I let my tiny dog meet my rat. I don't want them to see each other anymore :) beautiful dog btw and cute gerbil

  • Gerbils tails DO grow back, but the new tails aren't as "tufty" as before

Picking up a gerbil by it's tail is okay if it is near the base of the tail

  • you are right about the "Picking up a gerbil by it's tail is okay if it is near the base of the tail " but their tail DOESN'T grow back

  • @tcrvodhyrv1995 , a small amount of flesh and skin grows back over the exposed flesh, but the hair isn't as tufty. the flesh and skin grows back after about 4 months

  • omg is that a pharaoh hound? or basenji maybe?

  • @Akureikage Yup - he's part baseji *clap clap clap* your the first one to guess that :3 (He's a cross breed, basenji and sometihng else - but I don't know what)

  • @BrillBirdie23 you shouldnt do that my friend did it and the dog the gerbs fucking head off so u shouldnt do that

  • @MegaNattyboy do u even read ur comments hahahahahah

  • @spartanmchugh no rly it did happen

  • I left gate is open one dwarf hamster got out other mom still in cage. I am looking for her one week oh no too sad. My lab dog KILLED IT. I told her BAD DOG

  • funny... but you shouldn't raise you gerbils this way, because their tale can be cut of just like the gecko (a kind of a lizard) and their tale doesn't grow back. the safest way to raise is is to put a long cup or a cereal packing in their tank or bed (any place they are and to raise the package when the gerbil is in it

  • funny... but you shouldn't raise you gerbils this way, because their tale can be cut of just like the gecko's tail (a kind of a lizard) but the gerbil's tale doesn't grow back. the safest way to raise is is to put a long cup or a cereal packing in their tank or bed (any place they are) and to raise the package when the gerbil is in it

  • I have two gerbils and there very bold and not affraid of anything. Very curious little critters they are.

  • wtf u dont hold a gerbil like tha its tail will come off tut tut to u !!!

  • @issy6953 lol tut tut? :D

  • dog lol thats like a fox :D

  • my dogs bath my gerbils its so cute

  • i know what would happen if my dog met my gerbil >_>

  • I cant even pick up my gerbil without him biting me. :(

  • Yes it is ok to pick them up by the tail BUT it is VERY IMPORTANT to remember to pick them up at the BASE of the tail, cause if you pick them up by the ends of their tails you can deglove their tails. Meaning rip the skin off.

  • You aren't an Idiot for picking it up by the tail, it is OK to do that.

  • picking them up by the tail is the way u need to pick them up so u dont hert there belly or scare them

  • LOL I love how the dog is scared of the Gerbil..... LOL

  • bet that room stinks

  • @Megamanmeat - nah =p 'cause I know how to clean stuff =3

  • @Megamanmeat no it wont gerbles are the cleanist rodents. so dont go saying things unless you know its frikking true !

  • It's fine to pick up a gerbil by the tail, you guys. Just be sure to pick it up by the base! :] By the way! Very cute gerbils! ^.^

  • DOGGY SCARED OF GERBILS!!!! ;D

  • Wow. No matter what your book said you should know better. You wouldnt pick a dog or a cat or fox by the tail.

  • do you even have a gerbil ??

i do and picking the up by the tale is perfectly fine

  • What type of dog is that???

  • He's a Basenji crossed with something else. I have no idea what though, we got him from the dogs trust so there's not much history

  • There's no harm in picking a gerbil up by its tail, just not on the very end otherwise it might break of.

Just grab it as far to it's body as possible.

  • Cute! :D

  • omg!! the dog could eat the gerbils!! maybe by a mistake... thats realy dangerous for your poor gerbils!!

but your dog is realy sweet and your gerbils too!! :D

  • Rare for a dog to not try and eat it, my hound chases mine when he's in his ball

  • haha mine too

  • You put your gerbils in these balls???

    That is DANGEROUS.

there is no circulation of air and the gerbils will panic. You shouldnt do this, it is cruel.

    please, please stop this.

  • @JaguarsShadow94 , There are usually air holes in them but the only reason they run around is to escape because thay are panicing.

  • That's really cute!

  • 0:27 She i9s pulling the poor gerbil by its tail, Its horrible to do that to gerbils

  • no its actually not, its perfectly fine

  • Hey.. Do u have a gerbil?? .. if u dont.. u dont know anything

If u do.. and u do that... YOU ARE A HORRIBLE OWNER!!! Gerbils tails can fall off and its like you being picked up by the ear.. IT HURTS!

  • My dog is a freak show when he sees my gerbil. I might post a video.

  • =3 If you do, post it as a video response~ I'd love to see it ^^

  • stupid

  • Is that a basenji? It's kyuuttee :3

  • lol your dogs funny XD

  • Your dog is acting like mine, just keep watching and waiting hehehe

    So cute!! :D

  • yeh your not an idiot or picking them up like that. most gerbil books state its ok to get gerbils by the BASE of their tail. My cat met my gerbils even though i wasnt there. She is a little murderer

    rip blossom and cinnamon

  • That's a nice dog. Cool video.

  • How is she an idiot?

Shes not,she is a really nice person and yes you can pick up Gerbils by the tail it shows who boss and then later on they know who is boss and you don't need to do it.

  • why you let your dog stay or the bed?

  • Because Dogs are ace.

  • ehmm ok :)

i dont let my dog lean on my bed though

  • ... when my gerbil met my dog, the dog murdered him. RIP Twilight. ;-( cute vidio though.

  • my gerbil had a heart attack when it met my dog...

  • Actually, how you picked him up is fine. At the base of the tail it fine to hold by, espacially as you only caught him that way and didnt pick him up that way. Holding in the middle or at the end is bad though. So I don't think you should apologise.

  • A basenji cross, but I don't know what he's crossed with

  • your can grab a gerbil by the tail it shows them whos the dominat one

  • that's not a bad way to pick him up. unless u pick him up by the end of the tail i gues...

  • btw, picking the gerbil up from the tail isnt so bad the way hes doing it; picking a gerbil up by its tail is fine as long as u grab the part of the tail closest to the butt.

  • the gerbils didnt become hurt sooo why is everyone complaning

  • Don't grab the gerbil by his tail!! never!

  • well twilight you are being by saying i'm mean. NOW DON'T TALK TO ME

  • Ace dog man

  • der hund is ja mal voooooooooooll süß ;D 0:34

  • I havn't studied German for years but I know der hund is the dog and I think süß means sweet - so thank you~~ =3

  • lol aw thats sweet i would NEVER introduce my dog to my gerbils lol. i tried introducing him to a kitten once and if i didnt hold him back he wouldve probably tried to eat it. ur dogs a sweetheart.

  • actually u can pick it up by its tail... just the base of it tho

  • @RoflPeeps no you can't, its too dangerous...

  • @VampirecatAmy you can just not the tip top

  • One- you shouldn't risk the gerbils life... Two- you never pick them up by their tail. It can make their tail fall off!

  • One- This person probably had done this before and knew the dog wouldn't hurt them, Two- Read the description.

  • I know. why dont people get that !!

  • never pick a gerbil like you do to mouses idiot

  • hmmm u should stop being soo mean!!

  • Oooh dear - never pick a gerbil up by it's tail - besides being painful it can seriously injure the gerbil - after all the tail is an extension of it's spinal column. The best thing to do is to train them to walk onto your hand with a treat - if the gerbil does not want to be picked up then don't pick it up or trick it by getting it to walk into a cardboard tube - gerbils are very curious :)

  • 0.34 THE CUTEST THING IVE SEEN

  • ffs people can so touchy, i didnt introduce my dog to my gerbils, one just escaped from its cage once. This was durin the night, i came down in the moring and the gerbil was in my dogs bed, n my dog slept on the floor, gerbil owned him xD but neither were injured. btw, who ever posted this, know their own fucking dog and knew it was safe so shuuuuup ya nooooooooobs. peace x
