well the reason why the Touch HD won't be making a USA premier is because of the G1, T-mobile acquired the G1 aka HTC Dream without thinking "is this the phone they want or not to keep the hope alive for the carrier war" well i just hope verizon gets it though. and + HTC made a Touch version with TouchFlo3d called the Touch VIVA. its basically the original HTC Touch, but with the TouchFLO 3d like the diamond/touch pro
lol, well heres the thing, the Touch HD can be shipped to the US as a unlocked GSM version, but you'll be feeling the burn through ya pockets when it comes to pricing. i mean i would get the touch HD, but not right now
and you right, the viva has the TF2D last time i checked.
Yes you can ship any phone from overseas to the U.S. but you have to keep in mind of being able to use it with U.S. carriers. I remember when the HTC Diamond was released in UK first and the data connection was horrible when they used it on U.S. soil.
But I am still waiting patiently for them to being over the Touch HD .. what a beaut she is.
well you can still buy 1 unlocked for about ehhhh 800+ cash i mean its basically if your pockets are big enough, but i guess you have your patience so good luck. I mean i really like the Touch HD being that it has a bigger screen then the rest of the phones in HTC and it stands over the Iphone like a stiff, metal mounument that its no competition against the HTC HD. I would get it "Even if i have the diamond in my hands." still goes to show that HTC makes better phones then the rest.
I'm not sure. I've played with it a lot, my friend has it, but it's slow a bit, and sooner or later you end up using that lame windows mobile. Touchflo is just a nice user interface to cover up that ugly win mobile...
I ended up buying Samsung Innov8, and it is just great...
does anyone kno if i order the version that will hit europe n june unlocked will it work in the states becuase i really dont want to wait .....and wicth phone will be better the htc touch diamond or the nokia n96 ...thanks
Id go with the HTC, i like them more then Nokia. And it should work perfectly, I had a Razr V3i way back in the day that i got from south africa and it worked just fine.
tmobile just recently copped the G1, they may not need the diamond unless your like mee and buy it GSM version and use it from there. sprint already have both the diamond and touch pro. the ne touch hd was rumored to be the next G2 of tmobile.
i couldn't agree more, they was supposed to release the touch pro CDMA version this month, but hearing that they pushed it back was just ridiculous. and hard to say it but being that the Touch HD is 1 of many phones from HTC that can kill the Iphone if they had to, we won't get them in the States unless if they were imported. it really sucks that even though HTC makes great phones, there presentation of these phones jus lacks HARD man. i mean "HTC make up your mind already"

the viva has TD2D not 3D .. it doesnt have the 3d drivers that is required to run TF3D ..
As for the Touch HD .. just wait they will bring it over here =]
Be patient grasshopper

weather of touch flo 3d seems most beautiful. of course with eating more more memory...
afterdot 3 years ago
It's not eating more memory. Diamond and Touch Pro have a dedicated graphics unit with 64mb of RAM.
Daumex 3 years ago
no they have 128 mb ram

seriously, HTC. Internet speeds are far faster, and no phone is ever free of some type of memory leak or lag.

QuadcoreForce 3 years ago
No. You will have to upgrade your entire phone. The features on the Diamond arenot supported by the HTC Touch

That really sucks. Good thing I decided not to buy the HTC Touch yet.

Yes it will work in the US. But it will only work on AT&T and T-Mobile.
According to specs the Diamind will outshine the N96

tre about tmobile maybe not needing the diamong.
but htc has been confusing the hell outta me..
i recently read that the U.S. will not have the Touch HD. idk why..
but ive been waiting for the touch pro to come out. sprint has been pushing the release date back. and now no1 knows for sure when it will be out
