I've seen the musical in Vienna. This is acutally the best song in it, IMO. Which is a pity since this hasn't even been originally written for Rudolf.
@bluecanvas2 It was originally written for Rudolf, but used in the Origina staging of the Scarlet Pimpernel - where it always was out of place, however wonderful the song - and when Rudolf came through they decided to take it in again.

Also I heard on the demo some words are different but essentially, it's the Pimpernel one XD I'm not too sure why Frank Wildhorn reused the song from Pimpernel in Rudolf but it works well here.

Since "Only Love" was entirely cut from The Scarlet Pimpernel 2.0 - 4.0, they do not allow anyone to use it for Pimpernel productions anymore (where as sometimes you can still hear "Lullaby," "You Are My Home" (between Armand & Marguerite) & "I'll Forget You," which obviously makes that part longer than usual...!); and yes, you are correct, while there are some minor lyric changes & orchestrational tweaks, it is more than essentially the same song!
You're technically supposed to do the script given, but it seems like Wildhorn shows (aka Pimpy & Jekyll & HYDE) are do whatever you like, so they must be able to request to do particular scenes. The one Pimpernel show that did Lullaby + YAMH (and I'll Forget You) is on YouTube somewhere too!
Ah, I see. Godspell's like that too. I'm doing it now and we cut "Tower of Babble" and "Learn Your Lessons Well (Reprise)" and instead of the "Day by Day (Reprise)" we're doing "Beautiful City" XD But we didn't request Beauiful City XD We're just doing it instead XD Perhaps the do that with Pimpernel...

This song is way too over the top and bombastic for my taste.. :| I also don't like the voice of the singer. It's hysterical..
