  • Terrible technique in every fight- no composure, no head movement, slugfest after slugfest, throwing wasted punches, they are letting the sport down by FIGHTING, these aren't contests Simon! How often do you see a knockdown in a well matched amateur bout? let alone a KO!!! Stick to Polo and counting your money chaps. Boxing is for those that have the time to train hard and represent their university as a sportsman. Goodluck to both of you teams in the English and Bucks! You will need it!

  • I didn't think that the words "fight" or "fighters" or "fighting" were ever to be used in connection with the "Noble Art" of amateur boxing. As my coach told me, in my student boxing days, "Amateur boxing bouts are contests and professional boxing bouts are fights" ..........
