  • You sir are a genius. I have purchased and tossed 6 Keurig's in the last 8 years.

Thanks to you I was able to repair my "out of warrantee" unit.

    Excellent work by you !

    Keurig sucks BTW.

  • GOOD VID, BUT THAT MUSIC HAS TO GO.

  • Nice...real nice.

  • thanks for the tutorial, but didn't work for me ='(

  • The Keurig coffee maker is great for those who want a quick cup of coffee before going to work, but for people like me who drink several cups a day, the Keurig doesn't have a warming plate to keep the coffee hot. If you don't drink it right away, it gets cold and you have to reheat it in the microwave. And those K-cups expensive. $11 for a box of 18 at Walmart amounts to 60 cents a cup. I put my Keurig on the shelf yesterday and plugged in my old coffee maker.

  • 30.008 unsatisfied costumers, Keurig waht a shame.

  • @RochaBR777 if u get the refillable filter, u can use your own ground coffee that i buy at flea market for 3.00 lb. "starbucks brand or organic newman brand" and it goes down to regular price per cup.

  • Great video; music bed; commentary; and guidance for the fix! Thanks Keurig for the difficult access. Unbelievable. And the mug at the end was a great add. Mine is from Munchen. Vielen Dank!

  • This worked like a charm. It was amazed that it didn't burst into flames when I hit the power button after taking it apart and putting it back together, but not only did I not burn the house down, I have coffee again!

Thanks for this video, it was very helpful.

  • This video is irrelevant to the models on the market now. My opinion is that the brewer is at least 2-3 years old.

The difference is significant cause nowadays models have 2 vent valves instead of one for the brewer on the clip. Also now the water pump and air pumps are different as well, and on top of that before the needle assembly is added another check valve which is missing on the video also.

I dont suggest using any machine lubricant unless you wont be the person drinking the coffee.

  • @vladisgichev

Great info but if the problem is the vacum pump motor, once you remove the bottom plate you can remove the 3 screws holding the pump head on and remove it... Oil it, put

the head back on,, put the bottom plate back on and your done.. It worked for me.. In fact it was late one evening and I used olive oil to get it going again.. I'll get a better oil for next time.. from what I've read its just a mater of time..

  • GREAT INFO. I would think to drill out the rivet for the 3 grounds and replace with a screw - to make it a little easier NEXT time. or Replace rivet.

  • Great video. I am on my second unit. The first one was replaced FOC during warranty by Keurig. Where did you buy the lubricant for the pump

  • @hingebird I used trumpet valve oil that has a low viscosity. However, this is not recommended since it is not food safe. A better choice is a food-grade lubricant. Make sure the viscosity is low.

  • Thank you for taking the time to make this video. It saved me a lot of time for the disasembly. Mine had a open primary on the transformer.

  • @chosebine1200 Do you know the specs on the transformer or where i could get a new one?

  • @UnluckyFett I wrote to Keurig asking them if spare parts are available with the model number of the machine and all the specs of the transformer and the reply I got was to call 1 800-whatever so I whent to a electronic store where they have factory surplus. In the transformer aile I look at all that could fit physicaly and took the closest to the specs writen on the original tranformer. Paid 6.00$

Step down transformer (Hammon) 120V to 14.5V around 750mA not bigger than 1000mA.

  • @UnluckyFett Oh I just noticed that the one in the video here is a B70. The one I repared is a B60. The transfomers could be different. In my B60 the specs were on the transformer.... Happy to say that I got around to install that 6.00$ transformer this evening and it works now. But what a pain it was to put back together. Cheers

  • @chosebine1200 Thanks for all the info, i wasnt getting power so i assumed the transformer, i just got it apart thanks to this video (thanks einsnowraftingfan) and see the specs are on the tranny. sorry I sounded lazy. but sure enough i also have a open primary, must be a common problem. thanks again for the info

  • @UnluckyFett For my part I think the wall outlet is to blame, being old and loose it caused a bad contact and spiked the transformer.

  • Will you come over and fix mine?????

  • @222sunday :-)

  • nice music, what the name of it, who plays it?

  • @shkoder123 "Ambush in Rattlesnake Gulch" by Brian Boyko.

  • wow, I had to MUTE..that music is so annoying. Nice video though. If you like to tear stuff apart and end up with your machine hacksawed, this is the method for you. (..seriously, I cracked up laughing when I saw the hacksaw come out! omg..too funny) I opted for 15-minute call to Keurig customer service. Thanks Keurig :)

  • The unit in the video doesn't look like a B70. It looks like a B60.

  • @bruceadler You're right, it is indeed a B60. Thanks for the correction.

  • i did this with a b60 and it works great!

  • Call Keurig they will replace the machine. They must have had a lot of people in the same position.

  • @B0thergirl Oops, too late -- I already fixed mine... However, good to know for next time.

  • I think I'll just blow mine up. . .

  • @hatchet9d3 That's certainly easier and faster; however, doesn't help to get coffee... Make sure to post some dramatic last pictures, with lightnings and fireballs!

  • Is that really how quiet the machine is supposed to be?! My machine, same model, is 20 times louder. It's so loud you can barely talk over the noise. I'm shocked! and angry for putting up with the noise for so long.

  • @karypug Keurig machines are indeed rather quiet. If your brewer is noisy then probably because of a defect. What exactly is making the noise? The vacuum pump?

  • Comment removed

  • Will void warranty, easier fix just customer service a transfer to a specialist and 15 minute troubleshooting session should get brewer working for shortcup or no output issues, best customer service!!!!

  • @TheFriedKimchi good customer service...are you kidding?? they did one test and it didnt work so they told me that since it was out of warranty since its a few years old the only solution was to buy a new one for $100

  • Useful video. I was able to remove the ground wires from the base by drilling out the rivet. That way, a small bolt and nut can be used to re-attach. Also, I found that it was possible to remove the exterior shell from the top without cutting. Used a kitchen knife to force the parts apart....carefully.

  • @augustur -- Sounds even better... I knew it has to be possible to remove the shell without cutting!

  • You. are. seriously. a life saver. I got it all done to where you could take it "mostly" apart. I couldn't get past the part where you said you can "saw" it. That helps because I'm going to saw that sucker right to heck. :)

Thank you so much for the time put into this. Great tutorial!

  • @Coffeeman19 -- I am glad it helped.Good luck with your repair!
