@enisorian I suspect it may have been a jealous issue. There was Tina...in her 30's..and here was Dawn in her early 20's. Ive met Tina as a waiter in NYC and its clear that youth (and trying to maintain it) is her everything..so having this pretty young actress on the show may had flooded age issues within her.

The implication there is pretty obvious, but seems like Mr. Johnson is too much of a gentleman to come right out and tell everybody what a total selfish bitch Tina Louise is.

@critchley3819 Well said, well said. And you're right....that era....with it's early sit-coms like Gilligan's.....will never be repeated. And what my wife and I (age 62 and 57) often remark...shows like Gilligan's, Munsters, etc. etc. got it done with not one cuss word and no sleazy, overdone sexual material. Cute little innuendoes, where one's imagination could fill in their own images...worked just marvelously. My God....what happened to this country? Can anybody really answer that? Thanks
