  • Not the best thing to do when showcasing a song so beautiful.

  • Beautiful....

  • Hey guys check it out I learned the bassline from final fantasy II!

  • @Mentallycool , its funny because he actually meant FF IV

  • I wonder why this has so many dislikes :( It's beautiful

  • @MustBe18YearsOrOlder

Glad you posted this great instrumental.

  • I am now head over heals in love with Final Fantasy II. That's right haters! The game that is just too hard for you is the new love of my life.

  • Wow... this is... words cannot do this justice!

  • Ranks with IV and VII as one of the best world map theme's, very serene.

  • @SilviaGTR1

    don't forgot number VI

  • I just minimize the page and listen to videos like these...anyways...

Absolutely beautiful orchestration. Choir is great!

  • ToT

Good!... so damn good... es como un susurro desesperado, me gusta el romanticismo de este tema mezclado con melancolia... simplemente "nice".

  • This makes Nobuo look like shit. Someone must tell me where to get a higher quality version of this and who performed this magnificent piece.

  • @MetalHeadCloudStrife i'd like to see the person who arranged this compose a piece as good as nobuo, it doesnt make him look shit :P it just shows that if nobuo puts enough effort into it, he can make every one of his pieces legendary

  • @MetalHeadCloudStrife

um yea dude.....um Nobuo DID compose this. Hello friends tour I think. Either way this is this is among some of his best composed work. You should hear the main theme for all FF games. In fact he also has done instumental versions of most of his peices and does have concert tours. Next time do your homework kiddo.

  • @dirge341

it was the 1989 "Symphonic Suite" tour.

  • @MetalHeadCloudStrife Any way you look at it, this is Nobuo Uematsu, he composed, arranged, and conducted this song. This is the original Final Fantasy Symphonic Suite. He gives a good portion of the songs from each final fantasy game he works on this kind of treatment after the game has been released. You should hear the difference between the midi of the final boss fight you hear in FF6 and the Dancing Mad performance from his distant worlds II concert. F**king epic.

  • 6 dislikes...... silly people, IMA BURN EM ALL. this deserves 0 dislikes and 943684059854098609456 likes ):

  • haha! i just happened to start scrolling down!

  • I am

    The Emperor

    Of Palemecia

  • This is brilliant. Do you have any more information on this performance?

  • You know what I think?

I think the atmosphere in this arrangement is something that I've always felt in the game somewhere, too bad you can't experience it quite as lively in the NES version due to technical restrictions.

But that singing choir is the closest they have come to truly making that atmosphere justice - it gives you very vivid images of a grassy world on a chilly misty morning.

  • The vocals in this piece are so beautiful. *tears up*

  • Lol, I muted it right when you said to turn it up, I knew something was going to happen. It's basically like saying, "I won't surprise you, so don't expect a surprise" and go try to surprise someone. It's almost 100 percent bound to fail.

  • Didnt jump. Thats what happend when you passe your time watching horror movies.

  • I'm starting to really like this song after beating the game 3 time once for each console(NES, GBA, PSP, just PSX left :O). But this used to be my least favorite main theme but now.... its becoming one of my favorites, i used to like you know the happy and jolly themes but now, i'm starting to get into the kind of sad things, guess i'm just becoming a sad person......

  • this is song is so beautiful! More future FF's should sound as grand as this!

  • Been years since I've listened to this track, funnily enough I had no idea it was from Final Fantasy II...

  • I love the use of choral and strings to open the song.

  • I always thought that Nobuo is the best composer to have lived. Isn't this another proof?

  • @Kimidori81

Well, yes... you have the right to say that, especially when FF now doesn't count with this genius. But, he is not the only one to compose good music on video games... do you have another name? I have Koji Kondo.

  • @magnusLordN yasunori mitsuda, motoi sakuraba, akira yamaoka...and there are plenty more

  • I didn't jump. :P

  • Thank you very much for uploading this I have had this music for a long time and never knew the name ty again its wonderful

  • I showed this to my mom, and she really liked it. She described it as "calming."

  • could listen to this all day

  • this is a epic piece

  • How beautiful, heroic, and bold!

And then your favorite character dies...

  • i really need to find this. i've had it before, but an incomplete version

  • que cancion!!!.........totalmente epica....me da escalofrios

  • Put the word pray in the tags

  • This isn't hte PRAY version; the pray version is a vocal version sung by Ohki Risa.

  • nice dude almost had a heart attack

  • This sounds like it could be the staff roll song to this game or something. ^-^

  • Whered you get this version?

    I want it.

  • finally! ive been looking for a version by an actual orchestra forever! well, tour de japon has it, but i wanted just this song not a medley.

  • It's a beautiful song ^_^

  • there's a screamer lol
